Original MB steering wheel in burl wood and black leather. clear coat on top has 3 or 4 cracks as usual. Leather is in good condition, not reupholstered

I need this for my 1998 W140 so I am not sure if the 500E wheel will fit. I know there are 2 different types of airbag designs one of which for the newer cars has 2 holes for the airbag wires where as the older version has the wires built in plus some kind of gold spring at the back. Are they interchangeable?

An "early" wheel with the contact ring can have the contact ring removed, so it will fit on a later (1994-up) vehicle. Search the forum for details and photos, this has been discussed many times.

I’ll send you pictures tomorrow, this wheel is out of a 1994 S124 Sportline, so it comes with the later style connector plastic ring, but they’re easily interchangeable as Gsxr wrote.
