Let's have a poll on other interests.. other than women and booz.

I've got a thing for nice mechanical watches, a huge record collection.. CDC, Japan ,German , UK pressings.

Setup right now is sings well.. but I have other components.

Here are my rebuilt and modified amps. Added bias adjustment, and the were waaay to hot. 28-30 mamps now.need to do similar to my audible allusion preamp. Aa is a known tube eater. RCA jacks need upgrading, new power caps etc.. $200 for parts.

Mc cartridge on a 90s lp12.

My hobbies have tended to be very long-term or lifelong, and I tend to get very very deep into them.

- I'm into anything relating to WW2 (another reason for my annual GVZ Euro tours - I visit a lot of WW2 sites over there)
- I collect WW2 & military memorabilia
- Airplanes/aircraft
- fountain pens (whod'a known, Michael? I write with a modern Pilot/Nishiki and my backup is an old Esterbrook of my dad's)
- when I was younger -- collecting stamps and coins -- keep saying I'm going to pick this up again
- computers (since about the 6th grade - 1979ish)
- German cars (started off with Volkswagens as a teenager & progressed to MBs about 1997)
- fixing/maintaining stuff around the house (inherited from my dad, who was/is a living MacGyver)

Cigars, cars and fantasy football. I have a pretty good collection of autographed football and basketball cards and a couple jerseys. I also love die cast and miniature cars. I look for low production toy cars of models I own or have owned. I especially like low production toy cars given out as promos. I have a number of dealer corvette models.

Used to have a thing for collecting dealer brochures - I still have the collection of 100+ back from my Fiat X1/9 days, I really should turn them back into money...

Apart from Taking Cars to bits and putting them back together, I like to do the same with Computers and other Tech Stuff - which means Friends/Family bring their computers/phones/tablets to me - and foolishly I still fix them!.

Cooking, particularly BBQ/smoking right now, I spent 2 years developing my own rubs/sauces for ribs/brisket and pulled pork and have my own grill/smoker set up - - but I just do that for Family have no interest in competing - too much going on in my life!

I haven't invested in a good Texas-made smoker yet (and how to use it) ... one of the last things I need to do before I can call myself a "real" Texan ... staying up all night tending the smoker....
