Hi everyone, it's been a while since I wrote.

A lot has happened since my last visit. I have become a proud dad and have also made some service on the E500: new spark plugs, caps, rotors, spark plug wires, a custom made under wiring harness, a new IR and also a steel key. Sad though that the season is already over.

The other day I was contacted by an MB friend who got hold of a lot of interesting information about the 036s, he asked if there was something specific I wanted to know. I have long wondered how many Rosenholz with Brasil Brown interior that were ever produced and got the following answer:

A total of 22 E500Es were ever produced in Rosenholz. My car is number 15 and was manufactured on 02/16/1993. Of these, only two 500s were produced with the Rosenholz/Brasil brown combination. The second car was manufactured a bit earlier, 1992-10-08. This car was sold in Munich and mine in Cologne. Of these two, mine is the only one that have no sunroof. The distribution (all Rosenholz) in general was:

Canada: 2
Japan: 2
Abu Dhabi: 1
United States: 6
Germany: 11

We also found a Rosenholz with the interior code 297A which we are researching right now, this is probably a two-tone leather interior (red/black?).

Hi Johan! Long time my friend!

I’ve had the fortune of seeing Johan’s car in person, and the colour combination is sublime. In my humble opinion the best colour for a 036, and not just because of the rarity at all, but because it is both beautiful and cool looking.

We used to have a S124 with Brazil interior and I hated it, but it was cloth and in a silver car. But the Rosenholz/Brazil combo is just chefs kiss.

So happy to hear your a dad now, congrats on that 😊

I’m also very happy that you’ve kept your car all these years.

Hope to see you again soon Johan!

All the best Thomas

Dear Thomas, so glad to hear from you. I hope everything is fine with you. It sure was a long time ago and I hope you kept your cars as well? 🙏😁

I am so glad I was able to keep these cars and that I now have a proper garage for them.

Funny you mention that, I also have a rauch silber 300TDT S124 with Brasil brown cloth so I understand, it sure is “skitbrun” 😂

I hope to see you soon.

Interesting data, I think @Eno owns one too.

Let’s see some pics of this combo. Mine is rosewood/beige. Brazil brown interior is the best interior IMO. My perfect combo would be a Signal red with Brazil brown. Haha
Wow, so that must mean that you hav the second one I mentioned, do you have any pictures to share on your car?😍

I sold my E420 but now owns my fathers 500E, after he passed last Christmas, the blue one you saw in our garage in Malmö many years ago. Are you still living in Gävle? I have an ongoing project there, maybe we can meet up for a coffee?
