I was lucky enough to have EVO Middle East magazine feature my 93' E500 in a recent photo shoot at the local MB dealer. We managed to get a McLaren SLR Convertible involved in the pics.
In my humble opinion the E500 hold it's own in terms of visual presence and ironically on the day more phone camera's where aimed at the E500 than the McLaren SLR.
A few pics from the day attached.
Aim is to do a meet the ancestors piece when the new biturbo E63 gets here which should be fun as weather is cooler and car running well.

Lovely photos. Please tell us more about your car! I see the Evo II wheels. Do you have any other modifications?

Looks good.... I thought you said you were going grille shopping before?

I like the fogs, did you do that, and is it the yellow adhesive film? Handy for protecting the lenses too.

Great photos, thanks for sharing. Is that the stock grille with the horizontal chrome strips removed? It actually looks quite nice.

You know the current grille has grown on me and suits the car. I actually took off the yellow tints in the end as wanted to keep the front cleaner looking. You recognise the McLaren SLR in the pic's? It was apparently Hamandan's...

Cheers Jordic thats correct stock grille with strips removed, looks ok doesn't it was thinking of swapping for a chrome one though, what are you thoughts?

Cheers mate unfortunately the McLaren SLR is not mine but handy to have around for some eye candy.
Next I am trying to get a new E63 (the new biturbo one) in a test against the E500 as it will make a nice interest piece.

The last owner was running a fairly illegal back muffler you'll see it sitting it lower than it should in the picks. It's a bit demented sound wise but I've grown used to it now so hard to replace plus it passed it's yearly registration with said muffler on - Dubai does have a sense of humor some times!
Apart from that car stock (well has a iPod cable inside?)
This is the car in it's former life http://www.crankandpiston.com/2010880/
