just wanted to share my newly acquired e500. -it's actually a MY93 so probably it was facelifted by the previous owner. i've spent quite a great deal in replacing many many parts (most were simple replaceable items due to age: suspension, bushings, rotors, brake pads, engine harness, etc.) but now it's running perfectly except for the occasional rear suspension clunk that i have to figure out how to get rid of. i also found out last night that when i shift the car to "B", the fuse for the A/C compressor pops. hope it's nothing serious.

i'm still waiting for my Neez Euro Six wheels then i will take new pics again to show you guys. currently the car has 85000 km and is located in the Philippines.

I like that steering wheel. Would you mind saying is your car from Japan or was it sold new in the Philippines? Is it easy to find spare parts there?

Ingat!

Welcome here!
Nice ride, I´m again amaized how far and how close we all are here...

Happy New Year!

+ pinoy here! Currently, I know 2 in existence in manila belonging to the same family. One Member here is "cossie" i think - posted about an E60 a while back.

Wow! such low mileage I'm guessing jap import?:shocking:

@Vame808, ayos ba?

Welcome. Very nice car. Interior does look great. Will your new wheels be 18 or 19s? Do post pics.

Fudgitive: That is exactly the wheel i would like in my car. Matches my early build oem wheel.

Looks like they are AMG mono block II staggered 18's , coming from w210 E55?? Actually they suit well on 036's , one of the best fit IMO. Nearly bought a set here for £800 but i personally feel it diverts the originality of the car - just my opinion, so sticking to EVO's and original 8 holes for now.

Think fudge invested a set recently.

Indeed I did, they are nice subtle wheels and a perfect fit for our cars especially with the ET31 offset on the front, but your'e right I am still pining for a decent set of EVO's - certainly the iconic look for an 036 !

thanks for the welcome guys. the car was imported from japan but had an owner already for about 1 year prior to my buying the car. the AMG wheels now are all same sized but the NEEZ EuroSix i got will be staggered but only in 18" size. i've been browsing this forum for some time now but it was only around 4 months ago i bought the car and pretty much the car was just at the workshop waiting for its turn to get repaired, waiting for parts, etc. i'll take more pics when i get everything done.

Damn those NEEZ wheels look hot. What is the width & offset, front & rear...?

:deniro:

standard neez euro six wheels, 8.5" front offset 25 (245 tires) and 9.5" rear offset 28 (275 tires). wheels are quite light. thanks for the compliment.

Could be empty fuel tank, or just in need of some ride height tweaking. The 500E as delivered from the factory tended towards the stinkbug stance. I had to fiddle with both of my 500's to get the rear end down slightly to match the front.

:5150:

when the picture was taken the bump pads were 2 front and 2 rear. it's now at 2 front and 1 rear. it's now more even but still a bit raked. the workshop says SLS is maxed down already so it is what it is.
