SOLD Pair of W124 Door Mirror Boots, EXC- Condition, $100 shipped

I have for sale a pair of near-pristine W124 door mirror boots.

These came off of a 1987 300E, and are in excellent condition with no blemishes, rips, tears, scuffs, or cracked loops.

The boots still retain about 80% of their original suppleness, but are slightly hardened due to being 35 years old. This DOES NOT affect functionality, and they are still plenty flexible enough to be installed on a mirror. However, I would recommend gentle heating with a heat gun or hair dryer, or installation in warmer ambient temperatures to maximize suppleness.

The boots 100% retain their original shape. They will be treated with 303 Aerospace protectant and will have a slight glossy though overall matte finish upon shipment. I would not hesitate to put these on my car.

Price is $84 for the pair, plus $16 for USPS Medium Flat Rate Box postage with tracking number.

Great deal. I rarely see any 124s being parted anymore and when I do, they are almost always newer models with fossilized boots.
In terms of bang for the buck improvements, these are right up there with new tires, engine and transmission mounts, and Becker BT (I’d have to imagine), except cheaper than all of them. Good on @albdentist for moving quickly. More @gerryvz adding value to the community.

SOLD. This item will be shipped today.

Photos were added to original post.

These were original quality mirror boots, from the original production run of the W124. The rubber boots from the 1985-1990 period are of much better quality and longer-lasting rubber than 1991 and later model years. 1986 and 1987 are the most preferable years for rubber. This rubber is vintage 1987, and is seriously nearly as pliable as rubber boots you'd buy new today. Once I clean these up and put them in the box for shipping, they are going to be pretty much as new.
