This is my first post. My 1992 E500 is silver, blue leather interior, european spec first supplied to belgium dealership. I purchased the car 4 years ago in the Uk where it is registered. VIN WDB 1240361b841482. Kilometres to date 280,644.

Great site

Welcome Phil! Please post some pics of your 500E. I don't think any of us (at least in the states) have seen a blue interior.

Yes, and be sure to create an "OWNER - philnor" page in the "Owners and Their Cars" sub-board detailing your car, colors, photos, what you've done to it, and so forth.:welcome3:

Pedro,

You have been here. Well there are lots of twists and turns and can be fun, also many other road users whom anything to do with tarmac and whitelines is a novelty. Nightime here and whitelines is a different story. To be honest the car is not suited to the island and cannot be exercised properly. Plus you cannot park here without watching the car. There is no respect for any type of vehicle and I have seen euro100k plus cars with horrendous scrapes bumps and kerbed wheels only a few months old. Watching french spanish and italians squeezing into parking spaces is painful. If any of you guys are interested in Gwagens, well there are some really Hi spec expensive top of any range vehicles here. Mostly Black or white. The Russians really like them. Horrible Hummers proliferate but PDiddy likes them. For everyday, me I make do with a 22 year old Range Rover 3.5 Classic. Perfect all rounder except for the fuel at 15.5 mpg.
At the weekend I watched a round of the Spanish Hillclimb Championship. Closed Mountain roads in the North of the Island. Very spectacular. You never see anything like this in the UK as it is not possible to close public roads for speed competitions.

Yes BIUTIFUL island , but it does get over crowded specialy sumertime, and could get pretty cheese too, hopefully you can enyoy the car when you drive back on spanish highways,
