Please stop posting pics from the GTG, it is making me sad that I couldn't attend!

Which lucky member owns this 1994 E500 with the 18" AMG SL 2pc wheels? I would love to see more hi-res photos of it but the forum search function isn't getting me very far...

That car belongs to Vince (vincec)

Jeff

Glen, is that your car with 583k on the clock?
You rock High Mileage King!
BTW, did Dr. P show up for any of this?

Amazing thing is it does not look like it at all, much lower mile cars in worse shape out there on the market.

Those are OZ Opera IIs. They are a 2 piece forged wheel with titanium fasteners. I believe Ernestos are 9.5 and 8.5. I'm refinishing a set for my own car. No longer available and quite hard to find.

drew

Right on Drew, two piece forged with Titanium bolts. That particular set is 18x8.5 ET20 FRONT and 18x10 ET30 REAR with 245/40 R18 and 285/35 R18 tires respectively. I'm not using any spacers.

Ernesto do you know the weight of your wheels ?

Thx

The lone Malachitemobile, amidst a sea of black and silver, appears to be hiding very well in most of the photos. Who owns the rare green beastie?

Alright East Coast guys, when are we going to do something like this?

It was done in 2002, where were you ? only 13 .036s tho.... mostly CT cars with a few from , PA, MA, N. Carolina and the DC area. 1 Limited and 2 RennTECH 6 liter also showed. Need to find these pix and post them up....they were lost when 500ecstasy.com went down.

Looks like a great collection of cars and owners ! I think the lone green car is Ken's Dave...

Just a few shots I snapped. The forum is not accepting most of my panorama shots, so I will have to upload the rest later. :)

Our family had a great time traveling to the event. we made it back to San Francisco by 11:30 p.m. Our car performed flawlessly. Thanks to all who helped organize this amazing Gathering of beautiful vehicles.

Indeed it is and running pretty well too :-)
And yes, I asked DrP to drive it to the GTG for nostalgia's sake.

Thanks again to Glen for fixing up the "old lady" so splendidly.....glad to see her well taken care of! Thanks Glen for letting me drive her again!

It was real cool to see everybody again and the Master Gerry ! We shared more than one piece of memory of good old Germany, their cars and beers.......

I'm sorry I didn't have a chance to talk to you, Miguel. You've done a great job with your car!

Cadence, that my car, a '94 E500 with SL 2pc rims. I hear they are pretty hard to come by nowadays. I bought them direct from the Source - JW Distribution many moons ago !!!

Great pics and your E500 is a beauty - thanks for posting.

Looks like you are running 245/40 & 275/35 Super Sports but what suspension set-up? The ride height looks nice.

Is the grey car (with the front spoiler) painted or plasti-dipped?

That's my car and its currently plastidipped with a custom made grey. It consists of black paint and a healthy dose of silver ghost pearl powder mixed in for the last few coats.

Is Jeff's (Captruff's) 500E in any of these pictures? I spied what suspiciously looked like his pristine 1993 500E covered in his warehouse?
Jeff, did you get your car out? Anybody with pics of Captruff's 500E and Ernesto's (Hi-Power's) 500E would be appreciated for putting them up on
the site. In fact, it would be nice to have a single (or more) shots of everyone's E500E's that attended this gathering. It would be just great putting
a face and a name with each and every E500E that was represented at this affair!

Jess Paul

My car was kinda stuck on the rack with a cover. It would have taken a bit too much time doing musical cars to bring her out. I ended up driving my friend's E500 to C&C and then later in the afternoon the E65 to Matt' shop.

When I first saw it I was taken aback, but it really grew on me after a while.

Who is that? Stacy Peralta?

No, it is our "site honcho" Gerry, outrunning our 036s and showing us a trick or two on a skateboard :worshippy:

I really need to clean up my car so people will be more inclined to take pictures of it :(

Teaser of my Photographer friend Tony's set. I haven't seen the rest, but I'm told the photos are excellent.

WOW, looks like great fun and an awesome line-up of cars! Still snow on the ground up here :-( Need a GTG in NoCal or BC sometime...

I ran the four day National M-100 event in Portland (for the 600, 6.3, 6.9) back in 2001 and would be more than happy to do a weekend event in Portland. I know all of the playas in terms of shops and great places to go, awesome drives, and generally cool places to hang out. Plus I have a country place across the river in Washougal with a huge deck above a river where we could do a BBQ.

I'd make the drive for a BBQ at Gerry's place. Savanna has been talking about going to Portlandia for some time.

Great Photo's lil_dz33 with a Camera Phone no less. And Ernesto, those wheel shots are just awesome! A few questions, who is the owner of the E500 with the California "I MAKE" License plates? I would sure like to see more shots of your beautiful E500 as I recently purchased a set of Pristine Brabus wheels from Ernesto (HI-POWER) and I believe they are similar in style. Also, to the owner of the "Gray" E500E, what kind of front air dam is that? What is the name and style of the color scheme on your E500? To the owner of the California Tag 6LCV415. You have a beautiful 500E! How many miles are on its clock? I could go on and on about just how beautiful each and everybody's E500E was a piece of art, but I will stop before I get too carried away. All of those cars are beauties and I will wager that they are all in great mechanical condition.

Keep those photos coming, members!!!

Regards,

Jess Paul., Jr.

Since Portland is only (!) about a 6 hour drive, we MIGHT be able to get two cars out there, if my wife is feeling up to the solo drive. I'd like to combine this with a visit to either Portland or Woodburn dragstrips when they are offering a test+tune (I'd be ok with a real race, but that might scare off some folks). It would also have to be at a time that doesn't conflict with our local race schedule, which could be tough, but doable. We miiiight be going to Woodburn for the Summit ET Finals on Labor Day weekend, but that is very tentative, and wouldn't be confirmed until late July.

The 1994 E500 with the 19" Brabus V wheels belongs to a friend of mine, it is a 1994 Pearl Black on Grey car. It received a complete respray about 2 years ago. All the door seals, headlights, corner lights, tail lights, door handles, and trim pieces were replaced with new. If you look closely at the rear window you can see that I have yet to replace the rear window trim which was re anodized black. Brakes have been upgraded front and rear with SA. He lives in Malaysia, but comes back to the states a few times a year.
