Question: Facebook integration

Folks,

Just wanted to get your quick thoughts/input on the Facebook integration button at the top of the screen. In case you didn't know, you can use your Facebook account to automatically log into 500Eboard.com instead of the normal user ID/password combination. It also allows you to cross-post your thread posts to your Facebook account if you care to, and to "Like" specific posts (which shows up on your Facebook account) again if you care to.

We also have a "500Eboard.com" fan page on Facebook.

I am just curious as to whether folk are actually using this Facebook integration or not. The reason is that I'm considering disabling/removing it, but wanted to get any thoughts/input before I do so. If folks think it's valuable, I have no problem keeping it. Just wanted to solicit opinions.

Thanks
Gerry

I don't think i would ever use facebook integration, my interests in the 500E are highly focused into this specific community, and my aunt in Bolivia could care less about a wiring harness question.

I only use Facebook for work, when we have new API's to test or Facebook connect implementations...otherwise I too stay away from the traditional social networks - this site is pretty much it for me. God forbid Twitter outbound links show up here...:flush:

No Twitter, Google+, and Facebook will soon be going away too. It was an easy to implement experiment, but I didn't think it was getting much use and it doesn't seem to have. So why have it if nobody is using it? One less thing to hassle with.

That's a pretty decent photo of me! Can I get a high-res version?

:D
