500E radio warning sticker and placement

I'm preparing my car for the Turtle Invitational later this year and need some help. Which of the 2 stickers is correct for a 1993 500E? If neither are correct can someone please upload an image of the proper sticker/decal? Additionally, where is the proper placement on the rear 3/4 window? Lastly, if anyone has 2 stickers available I am in the market.

The "alarm code" sticker is what the cars for the German market came for. Not sure what they came with in the U.S.

I believe it is a form of the sticker in the first picture.


The American market Anti-theft sticker is located 48mm from the window stay rubber seal and 12mm from the bottom window seal as shown. I've removed all but the lower bit from my cars so someone else can provide the picture of the decal. As you can see, even the bottom portion of my original sticker does not match the first picture exactly.

My 1993 car has the second one on both sides.

I believe I have "wirgin" (unused) examples of both stickers - especially the second one.

I know for sure that on my 1989 560SEC, it uses the first sticker you showed. I am not sure if it applies to the 1992+ W124s, though. But I seem to remember that the second sticker was the one used.

Let me know if you need the stickers and I will get them out to you. I have all my stickers right at hand here in my office, so should be able to put my hands on them very quickly.


Just checked on my E500, it never had any stickers on it from the time I bought it in 2003, so they were evidently removed. But as mentioned, I think the second sticker (and I see that the @Jlaa just confirmed it) is the correct one.

OK, I will delve into my sticker & manual drawer here in my office to find them.

We are heading into Baltimore for an Orioles game vs. the LA Angels at Camden Yards at 6:35 PM EDT, so I'll confirm everything when I get back home.

MB must have used both stickers as the photo I provided is a picture of the bottom bit of the original sticker that came on this car. My car is an early build 92.

Bringing up this discussion again. Which version of the ALARM or CODE sticker is correct for a 94’ model year car built in 11/93? In doing research on various cars sold on BAT with similar build dates, I’ve seen both versions used.

You’re right, good catch. wrong picture/sticker. Correct one is attached. This is on a 94’ model year built in 09/93. 41k mile car
