FOR SALE Rare parts on Instagram

So from time to time a new (to me) parts supplier pop up on instagram, and since I’m a sucker for rare parts I usually start following them, if only to see what exists out there.

Recently I stumbled across Zapchasti_auto_germany which has a lot of rare and unusual parts for several models, including the E500E and even E60 AMG. Now, as mentioned I don’t know anything about this account, but it has +25K followers, so from a first glance it looks legit.

Now, one of the reasons I wanted to share this with you is that they recently posted a rear muffler for an E60 AMG, and a few days ago they posted the headlight air intake “buckets” which I think several here are looking for, possibly still @500AMM as well?




Looking through their posts there are at least a few locations being used for several objects/over time, so it might be worth looking into if you’re in the market for something special.

Be VERY careful with any seller on Instagram. There are a plethora of bad actors (read: scam artists) on there. I don't know if this particular seller is legit or not, but in general, I'd run away from IG sellers as if my hair was on fire. There's no way to tell if they have a good reputation or not. This is where legit selling platforms like eBay are helpful, you can review feedback and decide for yourself what the level of risk is. eBay has bad sellers too, but they almost always have a string of bad feedback that you can see. That doesn't exist on IG.

Anyway. The so-called E60 AMG muffler is not original. That was a Japan-only item, and the tips should be square, not round/oval. This was just a stock muffler with tips added, btw... it's nothing particularly special. The item for sale may have been removed from an E60 AMG, but AMG did not install it on an E60.

GSXR is right on, wrong tips, not original E60 design. AMG of Japan only item with square tips.
