Gentlemen

I chanced upon this MB parts supplier from Germany, KURTH Classic Auto Parts, but I do not have any relation to them.

Kurth Classics UG (haftungsbeschränkt)
Geschäftsführer: Norman Kurth

It is worth visiting their site, but a piece of advice thou, as I am not updated with the current USA de minimis (import tariff rates 29Aug2025) that are in effect there in the USA.

Regards to all

This spark gap tester is interesting. I wonder what is the significance of the numbers on the tool. I presume you would want to set the gap at 1 mm to check the plug wires? If not for the concomitant expenses to get it to the states I would order it. There are also some other interesting tools.

Folks, Based on my very recent experience buying a part from Germany the import duties remain in effect and are substantial. I needed a rear shock mount repair plate due to corrosion which I found on ebay. Part cost around $70 and I paid $65 on top for the tariff fees. Shipping was additional of course.
I will say the shipper, DHL, was excellent. Part arrived in 2 business days plus payment of the tariff was a snap.

Regards,

Peter

Hello geraniumtr :)

May I suggest that you research what the "new rates" are, as I was just tracking my order from Germany to Manila Philippines, and at the site of UPS tracking ... I noticed an update on the tariffs Feb2026 ... thou I must admit I don't the specifics ...

U.S. Supreme Court Tariff Decision - Update 3/5

..........

UPS is committed to helping our customers navigate and adapt to changes in global trade policies, while complying with all government regulations. We have consistently complied with all applicable import laws and guidance, including instructions from CBP and other government agencies.

..........

The February 20, 2026, Supreme Court IEEPA decision did not specifically address or include a framework for refunds. We cannot establish or administer refund procedures or offer any details about their timing, process, or eligibility criteria until they are determined by the relevant authorities.

..........

UPS will support our customers in obtaining IEEPA tariff refunds due from the U.S. government after a refund process is established by the authorities..

..........

We remain focused on keeping shipments moving and helping ensure our customers can fully exercise their rights throughout this complex process.

..........

We are closely monitoring legal developments and will share updates as available.

... I hope this helps

Regards
