Gentlemen,

Yesterday I was searching for MB OE top mounts A124 320 04 73 for my R129066 and chanced upon a listing from "spareto out of Estonia, priced at Euro114 each.

I emailed them asking confirmation of availability of these MB OE parts. They replied that "the updated part number was A124320047364" ... I checked with my parts guy here in Manila and said that the "64" means that the part is "REFURBISHED"

Please confirm ... as I don't want to buy refurbished (meaning USED) MB OE parts at the price of a "NEW" part. IMHO, better for me to buy maybe 4 pcs of FEBI doh at US$20+ each ... wishing these would at least last a few thousand miles and just replace when needed since I'll still have some left

Your parts guy is incorrect. The suffix -64 does NOT mean refurbished / remanufactured. That would typically be a -80 suffix.

When a -64 is added to a part number, this indicates either a supplier change, or a change in COO (manufacture location).

Make sure Spareto in Estonia actually has the item on the shelf, since MBCC indicates these are NLA. If they don't show photos of the actual part, including the label (hopefully with COO), ask for those photos before buying.

Hello Dave,

Thank you for the correction regarding the suffix "64" and also for "80".

With regards to Spareto having the actual items, this was their reply to me:
"A1243200473 looks to be really replaced with A124320047364.
We do back order original parts from local Mercedes dealership network and it may happen that our order is rejected at the end. But at the moment our Mercedes dealer is offering both A1243200473 and A124320047364 with same price."

I also asked MB Classic Center Long Beach about the top mounts, and they replied NLA.

... being a Saturday over here, I'll just spend a few hours searching for reputable brands for the top mounts

I got an email reply from Spareto regarding Dave's suggestion to get a confirmation if the items are on the shelf:

"Unfortunately our local dealer does not provide any specifications nor drawings/images of original parts, very sorry.​

We may only get it back ordered as original part with no possibility of return."​

I also emailed them for availability and pricing for NLA parts as per MBCC USA and got this reply:

That is very, very fishy. And they never directly answered your question. You don't care about specifications, drawings, or images! Does their supplier/dealer have the part on the shelf, or not? How hard is this to answer "yes" or "no"?

Looks like the Corteco units that are made in Germany are NLA. The only alternatives are made in China, unfortunately.

May I ask what does "51% billiger !" mean? Does the ad state that "Mercedes Original-Teil" is still available? The reason I'm asking is that as per MB CC USA, 124-320-04-73 is NLA (No Longer Available). If yes, I would be willing to buy 1 pc. of the original MB OE top mount.

As far as the brand FEBI is concerned, it will be my veryyyy last option, at the moment I currently have 1 piece of the MB OE top mount and 2 pcs. (of what seems to me New Old Stock) SWAG (Germany?) top mounts.

I have had that response once. Their website is not 100% reliable but it has given me useful info for some parts.
