Recovering Headliner

So I picked one of the hotter days of the year to remove the headliner.
Removed visors, mirror, door seal trim, header panel and light pod. B pillars, seat belts, C panels and rear light.
Opened sunroof and removed front and side trim. All pretty easy and quick.

Slipped headliner out without too much trouble. Removed cloth and the foam remaining was like goo.
Was able to rub it off with my hands and vacuum. I am curious if there is something I should use to clean the headliner surface?

It seems a bit gooey still. Lacquer thinner does seem to cut the goo on my hands. I also made a bit of a mess while removing the headliner, managed to get goo on the seats. Probably a good idea to throw a garbage bag over them before beginning.

Decided to go back to my original headliner panel removed 10 years ago. The foam was dried out and not gooey. Used a stiff nylon scrub brush and the shop vac to remove the remaining foam. Gonna let the newer headliner age...

I've decided to skip any foam on the headliner and will use 3M headliner adhesive, it has a slightly higher temp rating.

I'm curious if anyone has pix of the way the headliner cloth is wrapped around the opening into the sunroof?
There were plastic guides that were glued to the fabric and tucked under the rails /stainless slides if I recall correctly.
I'll post up some pics shortly

The header panel was really difficult, complex curves and material with very little strecth. Turned out ok I think.

Anyone know what this is? Behind header panel. Guessing it has to do with phone.

Nice job. I would really like to see some pictures of the inside of the B and C pillars and any others you may have taken. I'm considering taking this job on myself.

Thank you.
Drew my B and C pillars are on another thread. Pretty easy. I chose to not use foam as that seems to be the point of failure here in Texas.
