I have for sale a set of two of the rubber pieces that fit on the underside of the leading edge of the hood, and wrap around the sides of the hood. By "set" I mean the left-side and right-side pieces.
Both of these pieces have been NLA for several years, and will never be coming back.
The passenger side piece, in particular, is difficult to find in serviceable condition, because for some reason it tends to dry up and the rubber gets hard and flakes off.
These pieces are used, but in VG+ condition and fully functional.
On the driver's side piece, one of the "feet" on one of the clasps is broken off. All of the other feet are 100% intact. Again, this broken foot should not affect the fit of the piece to the hood. A dollop of contact or rubber cement could probably be used to ensure that it is extra secure when being fitted.
As you can see, both of the "side" pieces that go along the sides of the hood are completely intact and fully supple rubber (photos show me bending the rubber).
Again, these pieces are NLA from MB, and are rare/difficult to find. It is likely that your car needs a set of them. These pieces fit all W124 models, including facelift and pre-facelift cars, and DO fit .034 and .036 models. They came off of a 1993 400E model. MB part numbers are on both of the parts, and ARE THE PROPER PART NUMBERS FOR V-8 W124 MODELS.
