SOLD SOLD: Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) for 500E/E500

I have a mass airflow sensor (MAF) for the 500E and E500 available for sale, $125 shipped.

In good condition. One screen is ripped, but will be replaced with a new (unripped) screen at time of shipment.

Ideal as a spare, as these units do go out with some frequency.

Compare with cost of a new unit.

$125 shipped via US Priority Mail ($110 + $15 shipping) in the US.

Cheers,
Gerry

Re: FS: Mass Airflow Sensor (MAF) for 500E/E500, $125 shipped

I am starting to collect key spare parts. I'll take the MAF. Thanks!

Sorry for bumping an old FS Thread. I was searching about the mesh screens on MAFs and found this post.

Is there a part number for new mesh screens please? (I assume you meant new from MB but correct me if I'm wrong) I have a couple of spare MAFs that could do with new screens

Upper screen is 000-090-01-45, not cheap though... $28.50 USD list price. Only €18 across the pond.

Thanks Dave - I will test both MAFs with Star in my 500E tomorrow and if they check out fine I will order up 2x screens

I might be interested in buying spare MAF if somebody has a good one at reasonable price...

I could probably part with one spare MAF.... allow me to test both first and PM you in a day or two.

Edit- I am installing and keeping the MAF I will be offering for sale in my 500E. That way after a couple of weeks I can consider it fully tested. I will create a new FS thread when testing is complete.

Just for the record, my own curiosity and Pick-A-Part miners.

Can the MAF from a M119 400E/E420 be used on a E500E engine.

Just asking

Yes, 100% the MAF from an .034 can be used seamlessly with an .036. It is the same part for both engines.

The MAF is the same on all M119 engines with LH injection, all displacements. So you can also look at W140 and R129 models as donors.

Thanks Gerry/Dave

That’s good info for all of us to know.

Definitely increases chances of finding a replacement or spare.
