500E The 2014 meting at Brabus in Bottrop Germany

Hi

I am sitting here remebering the meeting for E500E cars in Bottrop at Brabus.

It was a probably a once in a lifetime event, i do not know what can compete with that.

It was also the only time i had to meet some of the people in the community in the flesh.

We had a fantastic tour around the premises and later we drove to Dusseldorf and the Remise
where one could be overwhelmed with the number of fantastic cars.

Will it be possible with a ten years anniversery?

I organized this event and the one in 2013, unfortunately I couldn't attend both!
We are in different times and you are familiar with the situation in Europe. There was a meeting organized by the German E500 group in 2021, but attempts to organize meetings in 2022 and 2023 have failed.

Your post above, brings pleasant memories back from my trip to Brabus Bottrop 2 weeks ago ...

Hopefully you guys can arrange a group meet for the Brabus Classic Center facility there ... really top notch restorations

Thank you for considering me for the August 2023 meet ... however I would not be able to join on that date ... maybe for next year as Draginev mentioned in his post above.
Personally, I have things to consider before saying "yes I'd join" next year. I have to consider the long flight from Manila to Germany and an even longer flight back (8 hour layover in Dubai ) to include the actual (6+9) 15 hour flight back home. Hopefully, that "trip" would allow me to join/watch the Schone Stern event, and hopefully other MB related activities.
May I ask why you wanted to schedule the "get together" on the month of August?

Regarding the timing, its to allow enough time for preparation and for people to be around (no planned vacations in June/July)
I don't want to leave it till Autum, because I am not sure how things will look like by then.
