This car is not far away, just in Pompano Beach, and looks great, the dealer has not answered me if the upper wiring harness has been replaced. I noticed that the muffler tips seem to have been painted in red. It is also advertised through their website and they are asking $9,750. Kelley Blue Book price is $9,200.

94 MERCEDES E320*48K ORIG FLA MILE*GRANDMA DOESNT DRIVE ANYMORE*GARAGED*GORGEOUS

THIS IS ONE NICE VEHICLE. A HARD TO FIND AND SO INCREDIBLY CLEAN 1994 MERCEDES BENZ E320 SEDAN WITH ONLY 48,655 ELDERLY DRIVEN FLORIDA MILES. THIS WAS A SERVICED REGULARLY AND ALWAYS GARAGED BEAUTIFULLY KEPT VEHICLE. GRANDMA DOES NOT DRIVE ANYMORE. AND HER DECISION NOT TO GET BEHIND THE WHEEL IS SOMEBODY ELSES GOOD FORTUNE. OTHERWISE THIS VEHICLE WOULD NOT BE FOR SALE. THE LOW MILES ARE NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND. THE FANSTASTIC LOOK REPRESENTS SUCH LOW MILES AND MECHANICALLY IT IS A CHAMPION. THE EXTERIOR RED GLISTENS AND LOOKS AMAZING. THERE IS A TOUCHED UP DING ON THE PASSENGER REAR WINDOW FRAME. THE INTERIOR IS ABOVE AND BEYOND. I DON'T EVEN THINK THE BACK SEAT WAS EVER SAT IN. THE WOOD LOOKS AMAZING. THE DASH IS PERFECT WITH NO CRACKS. THE SEATS LOOK INCREDIBLE. EVERYTHING WORKS AS IT SHOULD INCLUDING THE COLD AIR CONDITIONING. OVERALL THIS IS A RARE UNBELIEVABLE FIND. IT SIMPLY LOOKS AND RUNS FANTASITC AND WILL BRING JOY AND HAPPINESS TO THE NEXT LUCKY OWNER.

CALL ANDY WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU MIGHT HAVE INCLUDING OUR RESERVE AND HOW TO END THE AUCTION EARLY ON EBAY. 954-658-0021

Man I would love to get that car for my wife, she loves red cars LOL. To bad its so far away on the wrong coast.

Those muffler tips are red as a result of over spray. Even an amateur painter wouldn't have done that, maybe Grandma herself pulled out the rattle can. The dealer could have told his detailer to correct that hideous flaw. Plus the the bottom of the bumper is bowed outwards a bit. It may have been rear-ended.

It's a rare color combo, and has a nice option package, but I missed the overspray on the muffler tips... if it's been re-sprayed, I'd be suspicious as to why, and also if it was done properly. I had noticed the bumper is bowed out, which is odd, but I've seen that on other cars before (including some 500E's).

FYI, this car sold for ~$8k recently (same seller on eBay) but it was re-listed. Makes you wonder why the last buyer didn't complete the deal. Forget the blue book value, btw... it's probably worth $7-$8k if there's no hidden damage and the paint is good. The dealer probably paid Grandma $500 on trade in and is now flipping it for a fat profit.

I'd be really interested to see what color this car's muffler bearings are. That would really tell the quality of the paint job !

The 123 diesels are going for big bucks, even well used ones with more than 100K miles on them. You very rarely see them with under 100K, so it's no wonder they're asking big eBay bucks for this one.

I think it would be an excellent buy for GSXR or even Zeitgeist !!

Relax, the muffler is just reflecting the cars color?

Looks like a dream E320, rush and look at it.

If i was anywhere close and was in the market i would be all over it.

Fantastic color, fantastic mileage, great pics, go get it quick.

All the same stuff I was thinking.

My last E500 stock muffler tips where polished to a shine.

I am pretty sure that this car has been for sale for a while now...on the market for maybe a month or two. I think I came across on it AutoTrader a while back.

So grandma had the tips polished? Fat chance, I had a brand new '95 E320 and the tips were kind of mate black, no reflections. How about the bumper bowed out?

lower bumper could just be missing the middle screw- mine is doing that right now... and yes it's been off for re-spray work. Love the red..

Only the 500E rear bumpers have a bracket in the middle. Standard 124's have no center support for the rear bumper.

Re: Too good to be true? Read between the Lines

...Didn't find the car, but did find the seller.

That's one person's unfortunate experience. The buyer is venting because of anger at the seller or themself.

Further investigation shows 101 online auction car sales from this seller. 2 negative, 1 neutral, the remainder positive transactions...a pretty good feedback record.

It pays to ask questions up front. Your (or a trusted agent's) involvement in an PPI is always the best route...however not always possible. But, assurances can be agreed upon prior to bidding on or buying the car; allowing a means to back out of the transaction if the car does not meet these assurances.

Conduct this interaction with the seller using the auction service's communication system, thereby a historical log is recorded & can be relied upon incase of a discrepancy. Then call the seller to verbally go over the same info. How do you feel about proceeding with the transaction after speaking to the seller?

If the seller doesn't reciprocate or is hesitant to work with you regarding these assurances...forget about it. Don't get all caught up in the emotion of having to have that car. There's more cars out there somewhere. Move on & let someone else be the sucker.

These cars are 20+ years old. They have either been maintained or deferred/beat. If (aside from a visual inspection) documentation doesn't exist to prove its been maintained...forget about it, or get what you get...as many people are compelled to do.

"The buyer is venting because of anger at the seller or themself."

While i agree there is an element of venting by the context,
i disagree by the content. I found the presentation factual,
which is why i chose to post it. The add was given which claimed
an above average example on expert opinion. Then followed photographs
of the reality. (in that case btw, the add pictures give clues that it is not a buy).

Yup, no buying without inspecting.
