Hi everyone, what other options are out there to upgrade the sway bars on the w124? like is some sway bars interchangeable from other mercedes models to w124?

Depends which model you want to upgrade. What year / model do you have?

i have a 1995 E320 wagon, and i was thinking what upgrade i can do to the stock sway bars, there is nothing aftermarket for this chassis i was thinking maybe there is some sway bars that could be interchangeable from other mercedes models

You can get the factory wagon Sportline front bar - it's expensive though. P/N 124-323-77-65, current MSRP is $920, about $625-$650 from discount dealers like Laredo or Covington. I'm not aware of any aftermarket bars currently available.

There are no options for a larger factory rear bar anymore, they are all NLA. You'd have to find an aftermarket rear bar if available. I think the H&R W210 rear bar might work with modifications? The shape of the 210 rear bar normally interferes the fuel tank outlet on 124 sedans, but since the 124 wagon tank is in the rear, maybe that would fit! Hmmm. At least the H&R rear bar is cheap.

i have another question, i think i found a 500E front sway, do generally speaking 500E sway bars work on the standart non V8 versions of W124 or there is need for modifications?

500E sway bars are uber rare. Make sure it's not a 400E bar, which is far more common.

Yes, the V8 bars will fit a 6-cyl car (but you cannot put a 6-cyl bar on a V8).

same mounting points same everything? just different shape, right?

Moved thread to Off-Topic Discussions, as it pertains to an E320 wagon upgrade, not directly anything on a 500E.

The 500E swaybar is a direct fitment for the wagon (at least MY '94), except it may make contact with your SLS bracket like it did mine (stacking specs can vary in production). The interference is so minimal the bracket can be bent out of the way. Others may elect to grind it which would also not take much effort.
