Neat car. Shame about the LPG conversion cluttering it up and adding weight, and that the factory catalysts are gone.

ADS, HID's, bun warmers, and stationary heating (if it works) are nice options. Produced in 10/1996, datacard shows code 807 indicating 1997 model year.

VIN = WDB2100721A221024

I spent some time looking at that this morning. Of course, the whole interior of the car is likely NLA. Can you imagine trying to have someone deal with any of those wood pieces or those seats? But yes, neat car.

maw

Yeah... most of the interior is made from pure unobtanium with a side of NLA. Not to mention most of the M119-unique bits (for example, fuel hoses). I wonder how well the ADS works? I didn't even know that was an option on the 210. Although I'm not a big fan of the 210, this color & option combo is noiiiiiice. Nicer at the closer-to-$10k the dealer likely paid when importing. Wonder where they got it from!

I would also expect the E50 engine bits to be NLA also, in the event you needed to replace something unique to that motor.

Someone with EPC access should punch in the VIN and see what is available for seat covers, steering wheel, wood trim etc. If I were buying this car, I would check on the parts first, buy the car then buy extras of all those Designo parts.

Auction said it came from Austria.

ADS works great in the w210. I have it in my E50..and it is awesome. Very Cool to see some different colors to black on black and silver on black colored car etc...but this " blueish" color ,and the Designo interior color scheme,is not one that does the car any favours i think.At least that is my two cents.

Interesting comment in the peanut gallery:

"Has the vehicle been repainted again recently? I was provided a walk around video of this car 3 months ago, video now removed, from UnitedImportsCars.com and there was rust bubbling around the trunk latch, clear coat failing along the bottom half of the trunk, driver rear quarter panel, passenger front fender. Same video, dealer admitted the passenger rear quarter was patched with bondo and front driver seat was re-dyed yet no mention of this here. I personally didn't think it was worth over the $20k asking price."

Response from seller:

"The only paint work we did was the bottom of the trunk lid. There was a previous repair around the latch that was poorly done and small area where the paint was cracking but there was definitely no rust present. Also, no clear coat was peeling in this area, but whoever fixed it previously used wrong paint code. That's why it was corrected by us. Whatever else was painted on this car, had been done by the previous owner. You are correct about the filler on the passenger quarter panel but the only way you can tell is with a paint meter. The rest of the paint imperfections that I described to you before are still present and visible in the video provided. These are limited to a small spot repair on the passenger front fender (behind the wheel) and some small areas of peeling clear coat on the driver's side."

Just hammered for $25,500 plus fees to our esteemed JAB12!
