What to replace SLS high pressure hose with on C126?

What is the preferred solution for the sls hose replacement? Mine decided to give up in the parking garage at work last night, so I found all the hydraulic fluid on the ground under the front of the car at the end of the day.

Mercedessource sells a kit to use the old ends on a new hose; that's all that is leaping out other than taking the old hose to a hose shop.

IS there a metal doohickey in the middle of the hose? If so, try to get the hydraulic shop to keep that piece when rebuilding. There's also discussion about various types of hoses to use, along with reports of noise problems with replacement hoses... read the thread below for more info. That's for a 124 but the information should also apply to the 126:
