Would these fit my car?

Those are a perfect fit for an E500E. Many of us run the same set. ET40 would put the wheel further inwards.

The AMG Monos are probably the most popular E500E wheels and for me, the only wheels to put on your car. I believe they are from the 99-02 E55....someone chime in if I'm wrong. They bolt right on, no adjustments, spacers, etc.

Be sure and look on Craigslist too. I see them from time to time and for less money. PM me if you'd like some leads on these wheels.

Agreed, these are indeed E55 wheels, but they are also R129 optional wheels, in fact the part numbers on these wheels are split between 210's and 129's. From memory, I think the front wheels have a 129 P/N, and the rears are 210 P/N.

Also in answer to Injam's question in the first post about the best fitting et for the fronts, 40mm is not a good fit for E500E , maybe for a NON-E500E, but E500E's share the same wheel sizes as the 129 SL's, with ET's in the mid 30's and lower. Numerically lower ET's move the wheel/tire towards the outside fender, numerically higher ET's move the wheel/tire towards the suspension. The wider fenders and wheels wells of a E500E were designed to give the E500E's a wider stance, moving the wheels towards the outside of the fender. That's why stock 16" E500E wheels are 8" wide and have an ET of 34mm. You will not typically see any front wheel meant to fit a E500E with an ET numerically higher that 34.

These are great looking wheels, you won't go wrong buying them, and if you want another look some day, they will be relatively easy to sell again.

good luck...

I find the BBS LM model and BBS CH model beautiful on the E500E, but they come in very high offsets, from what I’ve seen, and would thus need spacers. The 18” versions come in fewer configurations (offsets and bolt patterns) than the 19”, which is annoying, because 19” on our cars means a very jarring ride quality. Anyway, here are some photos I grabbed. I believe the first may be Jeff Wong’s car:

Two of the wheel styles best suited to the 036, I agree. The CH in the specs that Dave listed fits great in my opinion. There is a very good chance they will be available from BBS again soon. Joes car looks fantastic and you will not see many with that style.

I'm going to call BBS and see what style/width/offset/bolt patterns they may offer now or in the future

Please let us know what they have to say. I was told by representatives they were almost certainly bringing them back soon.
