Clark.... just to make conversation... do you have an extra HHT manual.
I just bought a tester and would like some instructions. Prefer original but a copy would be fine.
Thanks,

Ron

Hey Ron,

I posted some MB documents in your thread.

I don't have a manual in my hands, but I should be able to get one.

It really is a simple scanner. It prompts you for most entries.

Just FYI. The HHT manual is not very useful. It does not show you how to use the HHT. The operating instructions are p/n S-6511-0021-13 and it's a whopping 19 pages. A few years ago MBNA had 5 in stock but no sales to the publick were allowed. Same with test procedure document S-2596-0395. Check the pallet of mushrooms you just got for Joanna, maybe these are buried in there. If not, they show up on eBay once every third or fourth blue moon. Again, the manual has many helpful tidbits like "press the down arrow to move down in the menu", "the display shows data", "the unit is not waterproof, underwater use not recommended", "when using as a baseball bat, make sure to grip the HHT firmly"... you get the idea.

The case might still be available new. It's considered a "tool", p/n 965-589-01-60-00 and is only $422 from parts.com. Buy two in case one gets damaged. Maybe three. No idea on availability, you'd need to bug a dealership to check stock. The factory case has nice molded foam pockets for the HHT, plus the multiplexer head and driving cable ends, and a tray for the cartridges. Photo is here.

Clark is correct. You plug it in and follow the on-screen prompts. The manual is not helpful. MB expects technicians to learn how to use it when they go to MB School.

Make sure all 38 pins are present, and un-bent, on the multiplexer. It is disturbingly common for one or more pins to be broken off. If it's a pin you need... uh-oh.
