Looking for brand new drivers seat pad / base for 1994 E500, with seat heater. Glad to also purchase a pair, seller should be able to ship to Dubai UAE. Many thanks.

I wonder …. Are there companies that will make seat foam in custom shapes if you supply a “master copy”? I have a new horsehair seat pad / base that I would be happy to lend to such a company so that we can have reproductions, if such company exists.
That may be possible! One trick would be also getting the heating element/pad replicated, as the old ones are often worn and have a broken wire internally. Getting the horsehair/rubber-mat pad replicated would be fantastic though.

Since the topic has been raised, I have two used pads. The majority of the "wear" is on the outer bolster area. It gets compressed and folded.

Over this winter I will be experimenting with a correction process which I will document with before and after pics. If successful, I will then offer them for sale.

Sounds like a plan

Would love my e500 to be comfortable again for long journeys

To be clear, I will try to transform these two pads back to something resembling new pads. I'm going to try creating a matrix of fiber and rubber to augment the pads where necessary, and then replace the foam topping on the bolsters. I will then offer these two for someone to try. I have no illusions of producing them in mass.
