Anybody have suggestions on how to buy a good quality windshield? There are very few windows available for a 124, and the quality is very poor. All input is appreciated

You can always buy a new one from the dealership. Part number is 124-670-33-01, list price should be $376. Although some online dealers are showing "discontinued", call your local dealer and talk to a live person. I'd be surprised if these really were NLA.

I don't know if you can obtain Sekurit glass in USA, though. Even the dealer glass wasn't Sekurit, last I recall.

:apl:

Nope. Sekurit windshields haven't been available (even from MB) for many, many years. MB 124 windshields used to be Pilkington, but I do not know what they are in recent years. The MB factory replacement I installed in early 2009 is a Pilkington.

My Sekurit dised last year and I convinced my insurance they had to buy glass from the dealer as it’s the only one with the bottom plastic channel for my 94’. It came with MB Star from PGW, Pittsburg Glass Works.

Sadly the Sekurit looked better after 26 years and 165k miles than the PGW does after 1 year and 5k miles 🤬

Fit and clarity is good. But the glass isn’t very tough.

Awww snap. The dealer glass gets sandblasted that quickly? I had aftermarket installed in one car a few years ago and it looked sad within 2-3 years if not sooner. I was hoping the OE/dealer glass would be better, if I shelled out for that next time.
