Thanks for putting the pictures up and moving this to the correct forum
Despite the seller saying walnut in his advert this trim is plainly zebrano
I think what has happened here is a new set of walnut was bought and swapped
over and the zebrano got put into the boxes the new walnut came in .
All the packaging seems to be from Malaya Garage who were a UK main dealer
it must have cost a fortune

Yeah, the title is really confusing. It's clearly Zebrano.

Good point about these possibly being used wood, not new... hmmm....

EDIT: The part numbers on the boxes are for walnut wood. It appears someone bought all new walnut wood and swapped out the Zebrano, and put the used Zebrano pieces in the walnut boxes. These are not NOS.

And it is for a car without AC too. A close up photo of the black plastic insert on that panel would confirm if it’s been installed or not, it is impossible to not get small scratches in the plastic when tightening the two nuts holding it in place.

I just guesing here but I imagine this must have been done early in the cars life
I cant imagine someone buying a 10-15 year old pedestrian W124 for peanuts
then walking into a main dealer and spending goodness knows how much just to
change the wood trim .
Its clearly been on a car not NOS and its clearly not walnut but the condition looks OK
To the right person (a/c and switch cut outs accepted) it might be worth it
How many bits would Madera re do for £250 ?

The date on the label for Malaya Garage is October 1997... so the Zebrano could be anywhere from 2-8 years old.

But yes, as you said, depending on the price this could be a great deal for someone who needs a complete matching set!
