Re: FS: 1993 500E, Gray/Karo Blue, 67kkm, 94k€ (Classic center, Germany)

Gerry, there can't be that many 036's with 122 Pearl Gray paint, blue Karo interior, manual climate control, and NO seat heating, built in 1993-ish (pre-facelift, but with late steering wheel). Check your omniscient database and I bet you could narrow it down to a handful of possible VIN's!

I’m digging the interior (especially the headrests!j. I will say that someone forgot to change out the coolant overflow reservoir.

What is the meaning of code 855 New Automatic Transmission in the datacard when the car was delivered new?
Beautiful car btw [emoji106]

For this vehicle, that actually looks like an error that made its way onto the retail "data card" I've seen this kind of thing a couple of times. It is NOT on the full vehicle data display available to dealers and MB employees, and the vehicle is recorded has having the normal for this vintage 722.365 transmission. I'd ignore it...

Oh it has the rare badge delete option.

I figured you were off trying to figure out how to sell a couple 140's and a 928 shark to buy it!

Is it the Colour that people don't like? or just that the market got flooded with "low mileage" examples.

The color is awesome. :gor-gor:

I think the original price was optimistic, €94k is nearly $110k USD for a car with 42kmi. IMO, that was above the current market, for a non-6L, non-Limited.

The new price at €75k / $86k USD is more realistic, IMO.

Myself I love the Colour combination. Mother of Pearl was the brochure.

Price might be the main factor, though the Museum can usually sell for their asking price

Love this color. So. Much. I would totally give up my car, NEEZ included, if this one would then magically appear in my garage ... imported, registered and all. Please oh please oh please oh please let my mega-millions lotto ticket purchase not be for nothing. :-)

Put me in the "great color" camp.

Perfect for those of us who can't/won't keep an 040 as clean as it needs to be.

I'd rank it higher than silver just because it's not as "common."

I love this thing, interior included. I will be racing to beat Jlaa to buy this thing after my lotto win. This car and a Porsche 959 and my garage is complete.

Ricardo

I wonder if Jim L. in NoVa still has his 92' in this color (with once black leather)...now with orange seats ! (Don't ask)

Mark? You seen him lately?

R - I only won $4 in the mega millions lotto. The car is yours my friend! :-)

Wow! How'd I miss this one? Love the interior! I think I would actually swap my grey leather for this blue getup in a heartbeat; just beautiful.

Love this color. Our 1987 190E 2.3 was this exact color with gray MB tex. Wonderful color and great car! Definitely like this interior as well. The Euro only at the time half leather half cloth interiors are spectacular!

I was scrolling through my pics and realized I saw this one in person at the museum in Stuttgart back in June. It was stunning in person and the color combo is beautiful. Definitely nice to see it get love in its birthplace. Sadly, the VIN isn't on the card and I didn't think to snap a pic of the one on the windshield:|
