I have a 1994 E420 black (040) / black car for parts. I do not have time to start taking parts from the car until after I return from Monterey. I'll post up pictures soon. If you are interested in parts please let me know.

The car does drive, but it needs a new ETA non ASR.

Jeff,

I PM'd a long list about 40 minutes ago. Look forward to hear from you. :-)

BUMP!

The car was sold, but the buyer went away, so this will be parted as I'm so very tired of looking at the car!

Black leather, but non heated seats.

Face lifted hood and headlights - $200.00 for both

This car has the exhaust hanger bracket and I'm willing to extract the valve body for FGS.

The car is 040 black exterior and the lower cladding is Alto grey.

Driver rear lens is cracked, but the right rear looks faded but non cracked.

The center arm rest is the flip top style for those seeking to upgrade from the "bread loaf" version.

Radiator is good, not sure if it is OE, Nissens, or other, but I will update once I get it out.

Front bumper is slightly cracked, probably repairable, but maybe not cost effective.

Local sale preferred for the larger items, but I can ship UPS or USPS Priority.

Hi Jeff,

Do you have the following parts available?

- knurled knob for the back of the left front turn signal (MUST be the left side, not right side)
- gray portion of the trunk light on/off switch (don't need the whole switch, just the gray plunger)
- an unbroken black motion-limiting plastic flex strap for the center console arm rest (just need one, not two of them)
- short rubber wiper fluid hose that goes from the under-light panel to the wiper arm (must be driver's side hose only)

If you have specifically all of those parts, I'd be happy to give you $3.29 for all four of them (postage included).

Thanks
Gerry

I see what you're doing there...start high then work him down.

I already gave the headlight wiper arms to SG-Motorsports at no charge, except he will be picking them up in person so no postage is required!
Steve, make sure you check out Jeff's two cool W210's while you're there!! And try not to drool on them too much.

Does anyone know what's required to drop an MB M156 (6.3) engine into a W124 chassis? I'm seriously thinking this could be a great combo and less "bulky" than an M120 V-12, and could probably be a weekend job with a cherry picker.

Well, if I can't get all four of the parts then my best offer would have to be $1.00, postpaid. It shouldn't take you more than about 45 seconds to pull all of those parts and drop them in a padded envelope with a couple of stamps on it.

Kent knows that old-skool stuff pretty well. Drop him a line.

You're thinking of the M100.981.

I'm talking about the new-school M156 AMG 6.3 engine.....

OH, sorry, you're right... I just saw "6.3" and Wayback Machined to the 1970's. Woops.

:jelmerian:

:jelmerian:
Uhhh...the M100 first debued in mid-1963, and in 6.3 form continued until end of model year 1972. So you're (mostly) about a decade off :agree:

:jelmerian: x2

What do you think, Klink? Should we give him a pass on this one?

Hey, the Wayback Machine is a little finicky, like the TARDIS. Sometimes it's off a decade or so. All part of the fun, right?

:5150:

Thanks Jeff! You're a hell of a guy! I also need the headlight wiper motors, so let me know what I owe you.

The M156 engine is actually a 6.2l at 6208cc, it only has '63' badging for marketing purposes.

Hi Jeff,

I am interested in the following parts:

  • AC-compressor bracket #119 236 19 30 (probably #119 236 18 30 may fit?)
  • automatic belt tensioner + bolt & pieces
  • singel ZF servopump
  • oil filter housing, supposed it has ports for the Euro oil cooler
  • suppressor covers

As soon as I pull the motor I will be able to see what I have for you.

I am looking for the one on the hinge

That part is 500E-specific, not the same on the 400E/E420. Still available from MB new, $87 MSRP, p/n 124-690-40-30.

Interesting, I didn't realize it was 500 specific tx

Yep. Most people do not know that the .036 has it's own (all mostly lower for C.G., and/or elegance) trunk floor, side wells, and associated trim coverings. If one hadn't already read this back in the day, he rapidly discovers it when he attempts to trade around used parts, just like up above. More of the myriad small changes that add up to an .036...

Does it have an updated harness?? If so need one ASAP!

Hello:

I removed the upper harness today and it looks to be in fantastic shape. I pulled back on the some of the insulation and saw no fraying of wires. This is in fact the updated harness Delphi December 3rd 2001 Production.

$230.00 delivered to the lower 48 via USPS Flat Rate Priority box

Will the resonator on this car fit my 1992 400E? If so, do you still have it? What kind of condition is it in? How much shipped to 27592 area code?
