D'oh!

Watch out – the chinese factory has ruined the mould and therefore these rims are unfortunately not available as ET 11. If you order these rims, you will receive 4 rims size 8×17 ET 28 plus 4 spacers 15 mm
15-hole forged alloy wheels in the legendary Gullideckel design with diamond cut
suitable for vehicles of the series W108 W109 W110 W111 W112 W113 W114 W115 W116 W123 W126 R107
Delivery:
4 alloy wheels 8×17 ET 28
4 spacers 15 mm
4 hub caps
4 valves
20 special wheel bolts

I am waiting on the hopes that one day they might produce 18" 8-hole wheels. :)
Talked to Roland. If someone offers him 150 kEuro- absoltuley no problem, even some more rims in 18 and 19 will appear.
But....150 grand is a lot of money.

Hmmmmm..... is he looking to raise capital for a % ownership of the business? Or is he just looking for a big order for a large quantity of product?

Yeah - how much can it cost to have new molds fabricated, if the engineering was already complete and the wheels were in production?

Those are too narrow for my liking.
I feel you :D
But (my 2 cent) i guess max. tire width 255 is nice for high speed rainy drive.... i´m talking 160-200 kph.
And of course at that time (1993-94) 18 inch wheel was one of the biggest on the market, for "civilian" cars i mean.

Keen to understand your view more, JLAA. Are they too narrow for you for visual purposes (filling out the wheel well) or for performance (grip) purposes?

I run 245 width sport tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE-71R) on my Rials and believe that you could add another 100-150 horses and about 200NM before overpowering that tire width. Same thing with cornering loads. You’d have to add some serious suspension mods before running out of grip with that tire width (at least with a decent sport tire). But driving styles are different and so are personal preferences. Just my $0.02

It is all about looks for me - specifically getting a wide rear wheel ... 9.5” or so. I like the staggered look. I am actually a super gentle driver. I never approach using even half the lateral grip available. Also, I have never driven the car in the rain. In fact, I have never used the windscreen wiper to clear rain, and I have never even washed my car with water. 😂

I have to say that the 245s on the rial are looking too slim, especially when you see the car from the rear even more so once you have some spacers on. I would prefer some 265/275s for the better looks and as compromise to good looking 285s but with less roll/air resistance.
