1981 528i with 300K miles, original owner

I drove a '79 528i grey/tan all through college, road tripping regularly from home! Near NY city area up to Buffalo, NY. I kept it pristine and always detailed. It was a terrific car. I had catalytic converter issues but overall it was a workhorse. I began having bigger issues at 140k miles and sold it, dead on the side of the road one NY winter. Always loved it FWIW...
 
I had an '81 528i with Bilsteins and Flofit seats. It was a wonderful car, but rust became a problem, especially behind the rear wheels. I sold it for almost what I paid for it after five years of being my daily driver. My sales price was about 50% of what this car is going for, though it was about 15 years ago.
