WANTED 1992 500e LH module with WOT

If Robert doesn't have one, I may... need to double check.

If the only problem is clicking, you can repair it by replacing the capacitors. There's a forum thread with details on how to do this.

:shocking:

Hi gsxr,
Thanks for this advice and the pointer to the thread. My thought is that, once I can obtain a good LH module, I’ll repair the faulty one and make it the beginning of the spares kit you recommend accumulating.

I‘m planning to keep the car for the foreseeable future, so will get spares for all the relays and modules. Going to spend some time trawling the spares forum here to see what is available. Is there a list of all the essential spares you and others recommend getting?

Again, this board is an amazing resource, and I’m looking forward to becoming a lab active member of the great community surrounding it. Finding the board is part of what convinced me that buying a 500e so far from the rest of the world was not a totally crazy thing to do!

Hi - I’ve just purchased this 500e that was for sale in NZ - FOR SALE - FS: 1992 500E, Bornite/Black, 192kkm, $32k USD (Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND) | Cars for Sale - 500E / E500 ONLY

I have the clicking fuel pump relay problem. Research on the AMAZING forum indicates I need a new LH model with WOT. Does anyone have one they could sell me and ship to New Zealand?

Many thanks in advance.
Russell
Welcome to the forum!:welcome4:
You must be one of very few, if not the only, member from New Zealand.
Good luck and enjoy your ride.:thumbsup2:

Russel,
:welcome5::newbie:

Looks like another Bornite/Black beauty from Japan. Your closest neighbor is probably @Ruffles an Aussie with another Bornite/Black Japan import.

That color combo was not imported to the USA. @outrbnks a member on the NorthEast imported one from the Middle East a while back.

If your interested, you can see @Ruffles and @outrbnks cars in the Owner’s Thread.

You will find many knowledgeable members here on the board that are willing to assist you with any issues that pop up:thumbsup2:

Anyway, I wish you the Best Experience with your new ride.

Take Care

Sounds like a good plan! In addition to the links Gerry posted above, I like to have 1 each of all the computer modules, tested / verified to be good; also an ETA+MAF. These can be very helpful when troubleshooting problems, you can pull a good part off the shelf to swap out for testing. Critical here is "tested/verified"... if possible, drive the car for a few weeks with the spare module(s) installed to confirm. Store this stuff somewhere that will be relatively dry and temperature-stable. A spare climate control unit is also handy.

Otherwise, figure out what wear items your car may need in the future, that may go NLA (or are already NLA). I assume you already know this will be detrimental to your piggy bank...

Sorry. I looked and don’t have one.

Thanks, Robert! Russell, shoot me a PM (conversation) if you're still looking.

:strawberry:
HI gsxr (Suzuki perchance? - I used to ride a GSXR 1100),

Yes - I'm still looking. Feels like it is becoming more urgent. I think I may have jinxed myself - since posting my WTB the car has suddenly become much harder to start when cold :-(

Yes - I'm fully expecting my passion for this vehicle will come at a cost ;-)

Hi Terry,

Thanks for the welcome and good wishes. Also, thanks to the pointers to the other cars in the "neighborhood". IN the tread relatuing to the sale of my car, someone mentioned that there appear to be to other E500Es registered in NZ. I'll be trying to find those vehicles and their owners in the near future.

Cheers,
Russell
