OMG. I believe the term (thanks, @Jlaa!) is "a whole bowl of wrong".

This is a Euro-spec car, originally delivered to Grrmany, not California. I wonder what speedometer lurks beneath the vinyl overlay. No documentation of how many km's it had when arriving here in the colonies, so I'm assuming the 150kmi shown is a low estimate. And, uh, what are "exhaust finishers"? :yayo:

You can always count on BHCC to have the lowest of the low for sale. Their business model must be working to buy junk nobody else will touch or represent. Do absolutely nothing to the car and just spend money on advertising. If the cars are bought cheap enough they are probably netting as much as a car company that buys nice cars and spends X amount of money in the reconditioning. And with low expectations you don’t have issues with customers returning after the sale wanting things fixed for nothing. Very similar to the business model of Dodi Auto Sales in Monterey.

That IS their business model. I don't think I would buy anything from them. Interestingly, I did buy a car from Gullwing in NYC, who have a similar business model, but they were fine to deal with and the car was fine, too. Of course, I got a very thorough PPI on the car, and Gullwing were helpful with that process.

i had an 82 ferrari 400i that i pulled out of a barn a couple years ago. It had been parked for 22 years. Got it running, and mobile, i wouldn't call it roadworthy. I sold it to a guy claiming to want a running driving project, who flipped it to BHCC within 24 hours. Think it's still listed there, at more than 2x what i sold it for. Other than a good detail, nothing done to it, yet advertised as 'running, driving, and mechanically sound'

This 500e looks pretty bad for the money (about what i paid for my decent driver)

Anyone noticed the flat passenger door trim? 16141_p29_l.jpg

Does anyone know what W124 models/years came with that flat panel vs the correct 500E panel?

EDIT: It seems like this "flat" panel was used in cars with MB-TEX, while the "loose leather"/fluted door cards were used on cars with leather.
