Thanks for posting the VIN.

This one looks like it may be destined for a bad ending judging by the attempt at rust mitigation and location. I think it's only right that you include your wife's name on your Automotive Enthusiasts Card.

Interesting that the interior color is listed as beige. I noticed the passenger door panel insert seems possibly to be recovered. Missing pleats? Mirror cover is Beige, seat track trim laying in center console.

I have record of this car in my private database, dating from July, 2006 when the car was listed on eBay.

At that time, the car was located in Milwaukee, WI and had 162,000 miles on the odometer.

My notes for the car are as follows: "Seller says two-owner car. Auction description: Body is in great condition, small bubble in paint on left rear door by the window, about the size of the quarter. No dents but does have minor scratches due to age, mostly road chips. Tan interior is in good shape with new floor mats. Car has original alloy rims and tires are newer, with newer brakes and serpentine belt. Only two photos so difficult to see condition. UPDATE 10-7-06: For sale now in Glendale, WI by Concours Motors. Mileage 162,945. Mirror front plate, rock/sandblast damage to front wiper panels below lights; Black rubber front mats; otherwise car is stock and seems to be in pretty good condition, especially on inside."

Looks like the interior has been replaced. With all of that rust, this is essentially a rolling parts donator for other cars. Would be good to try to contact the owner to see if they would sell it to a member. Any information as to where it is sitting?

My wife's name is Aya - she drives a '92 600SEL, an '05 CL55, an '87 M6, a '74 C10 stepside, and a '90 Isuzu Trooper. Needless to say she has her own Automotive Enthusiast's Card, and we have individual AAA cards too 'cause we need plenty of tows...

I did the VIN check too and noted the beige interior original spec. It's facelifted as well.

How do we get that glossy/wet paint look in the first pic? What are you using to detail them?

Just a fresh wash is all. Maybe I had them wax it too but nothing special. 59K one-family-ownership history probably helps.

Hi Terry - yes, the car is 040 with black interior.

The wheels are Carlsson CR1/12 - 19x8.5 front 19x10 rear. I have the offsets and tire specs somewhere if you're interested - pretty sure I did 255 fronts and 285 rears.
