Iconic Collector's Car | Restoration Candidate
For Sale: An iconic Mercedes-Benz W124 E500—one of the most legendary sports sedans ever built. Developed in collaboration with Porsche, this model is renowned worldwide as a true "wolf in sheep's clothing."
This specific example, dating from 1994, has an odometer reading of just 142,990 km and features a very comprehensive equipment list (fully optioned). This represents a rare opportunity to acquire an original specimen with immense potential.
The car is being offered as a restoration candidate. Currently, the engine does not start—presumably due to an issue within the ignition system. However, for the connoisseur or collector, this presents a wonderful opportunity to restore this classic back to its former glory.
What makes this car special:
* Original E500 (not a conversion)
* Iconic model with appreciating value
* Developed in collaboration with Porsche
* Low mileage for its age
* Highly specified trim level
The W124 E500 is globally recognized as a future (and indeed, now current) classic, and well-preserved examples are becoming increasingly scarce and valuable.
This is an ideal investment or project for the serious enthusiast who understands the significance of what they are acquiring.
Year of Manufacture: 1994
Mileage: 142,990 km
MOT/Inspection: None
Condition: Project / Non-running
Asking Price: €24,500
Serious inquiries only. No frivolous offers.
Regards, Luuk

Non running and ROUGH shape for 143kkm (89kmi). I believe this is not a facelift car (E500), it is pre-facelift (500E) with the late hood/trunk added.

Missing tow hook cover. Wrong headlights (standard 124). No headlight wipers. Possible front-end accident in the past. No foam insulation on the hood. Wood is not original, can't tell if it's BEM or something else. Looks like LHT headlights too (Japan/UK)...

:blink:

The same car, the same photo location, the same milleage...
But PRE-facelift styling?! So then they switched it back to the original facelift look.

VIN is ...C052448

Weird, as this car is supposed to be facelifted.. :confused:

Something is fishy here. The engine compartment photo does not match the VIN.

WDB1240361C052448 should not have the large "pancake" ETA connector.

:scratchchin:

What I find strange is that the air filter has the white Mercedes Benz print. I thought as of MOPF2 it was black. But I might be off in the cutoff for the change
