If you are looking at this car you undoubtedly know its reputation for being the consummate drivers car with the right ballance of luxury, speed, and refinement. This car has been a joy to own, and drive. If you are looking for a sleek, well sorted 500E this is the one for you. Always garaged, never seen snow, and has rarely seen rain. Would like to make room in garage for new acquisitions, so i am choosing the least driven to sell. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza RE 960 AS. They have only 1500mi. on them. This car was on eBay back in Dec of 2009, evidently same seller. It did not sell then at a reserve price of $12,500.

Was involved in car crash front and back on 2010, minor accident, as owner described.

1100 visits to the for sale page so far, only at $9,100, 4 1/2 days left ,reserve not met yet, i think reflects economy.

Spoke to the owner over a hour this evening. Interesting guy, definitely a MB and general car guy, and bike guy. Informed him upfront I wasn't shopping just wanted to talk about the 500E. This is his third, has been repainted to the tune of $7,000 and sorted by a reputable local Euro shop ($8,900). He represented himself as a "spare no expense" kinda guy, local atty and former officer in the MBCCA Chicago. Originally a California car, with lotsa receipts. He was formerly an elected official and traveled from Chicago to Springfield (4 hours) with some frequency, but not so much any more.

My guess is his reserve is approx. $10K. If someone wants an visual inspection and observations on a test drive I could probably set aside some time and get by before the auction ends.

Looks like a decent car and glad the owner is an enthusiast, but as a rust belt car with an accident history, it's going to be a tough sell to ask too much in this buyer's market. I hope he gets what he needs for the car.

The wolf in sheep’s clothing, arguably one of the best Mercedes created in the 90s . A 5.0L M119 V8 engine producing ~326 hp and 480 Nm of torque for the era was record breaking. This incredible partnership with Porsche helped make this beast of a car. Each car was partially assembled at Porsche’s Zuffenhausen plant, then shuttled to Mercedes for finishing — a unique dual-factory process.​

New spark plugs , distributor cap and rotors installed. Fuel system gone through with two new bosch fuel pumps, fuel pressure accumulator. Coolant flush, waterpump done 2000 miles ago.​

New expansion tank, new overflow tank hose, new oil and filter, sls fluid flush, brake fuid flush, new falken tires. The sunroof rails have been repaired . Ac is in working order. The car was repainted by the previous owner in its original silver color. Transmission service just completed with a new trans filter as well as pan gasket and new oil.​

The car has a delphi updated wiring harness. The LH module was upgraded to wot as a result of a fault original module. The car runs strong and pulls hard. For serious inquiries please send me a dm​

Wrong headlight doors on it now, also need a photo of the driver bolster to see if that has been repaired.

Eagle-eyed @kegmankipp noticed the front bumper is the wrong color... does not match the side cladding. Probably related to the front/rear damage from the 2010 accident.
