Car looks like a nice DD, pity it's a stripper (no options). Driving to Vegas without registration, eh?

Asking price is nuts.

lol you don't count the car phone as an option? 😂🤣
Good point - the armest cell phone was a dealer-installed option, I believe. But it's not something found on the datacard, or on the window sticker either AFAIK. Ditto for the CD changer in the trunk.

From memory, this was the only available optional equipment on the 034 in USA:

471 - ASR
873 - Heated seats
40x - Orthopedic front seat (L = 404, R=405, L+R = 406)
877 - Rear reading lamps
544 - Rear roller blind

Europe/ROW had lots more optional equipment available including a Sportline package.

Thanks! 🙏 Updated the previous post. (I didn't have my list of codes handy.)

SLS was never officially offered in USA, but appeared to be a super-special-order item. I have VIN's of 3 different 034's in USA with SLS. A couple were discussed on this forum in years past.

There are 3 different codes for ortho left only, right only, or both. I'll update when back at my desk. Edit: Updated previous post.

I've seen one set of ortho seats in the flesh; in a 300 TE wagon, both sides. They actually made a bit of a difference, more than I expected. They seem an uncommon option.

Very nice example. There was a similar car here in Atlanta 6 months or so ago. 040, same condition, less miles. Ask was $12,000, I think. The Monoblocs on this one add value to me. $16500 is high but nice ones are becoming rare.

Hagarty valuation for a #2 car is $25,500 and 11,400 for a #3 car. Despite all the work this owner did I think it’s still considered a #3 car maybe a little better. I don’t think one will stand to loose much if they keep the car maintained.

interesting that facelift prices (1994+) appear to be trending higher than pre-facelift 1993. See below

My 1993 has 50k less miles, is in similar/better condition, and I bought it for 15% of his asking price :eck13:

I guess people statistically do prefer the facelift models. Personally I like the pre-facelift, i think they look more like a classic.
