Mercedes E500 Limited W124 Sedan - The E500 LTD was, as its name suggests, a limited special final version that marked the end of production of the legendary E500. Launched in 1990, the E500, or 500E as it was then known, followed Mercedes' tradition of cramming a very powerful engine into a stately looking saloon body, creating a very fast but discreet and eminently usable performance car. This sporty version of the W124 received improved brakes and suspension, as well as a V8 engine carried over from the 500 SL. Externally, it featured wider wheel arches and wider tyres... and that was it.
No spoilers, no shouting, no provocative accents. Completely different from today's AMG models. This created a pure sleeper, a car that at first glance does not reveal any of the power that lies dormant in it. The low number of units produced and the process of hand-assembling the car made it an instant classic!
