Yup, Tim is correct! There's no crease in the rocker panels.

The lower edge of the Sacco panels is sliiightly exaggerated in the renders above, particularly on the fender pieces. Might just need less shading.

Hello guys, I've taking the pointers and had to take my time to doublecheck it, mind you the sideskirt I made was 2-3 years ago so I had to jog the memory and checked the reference how the shape looked. If we compare to Mr Beans (Rowan Atkinson) you can clearly see the crease in sideskirt and the slightly subtle bodyline on sacco panels.

In some environment, they are visible and others they are not. And top of that it is also paint shading, I added 2nd tone shading because the paint is from the original CLS debut Satin Alubeam Silver that has this blue tone shading on it. Which made the lines appear harsher than it should and that was the intent.

The bodypanels are correct, but the sideskirt on the W124 can be more smoother. Hope this answer, justifies and satisfies your questions/pointers! All pointers are welcome and it is good for critics, only way to improve.

I wonder if RENNtech "borrowed" any of Draginev's ideas...

That's a good question. Been asked the same all over the DMs in instagram regarding this design.
Lets break it down.

RENNtech hired a designer to design their modernization of W126 SEC. It is a combination of AMG, koenig, ABC style altogether in my humble opinion. I'm happy that they offer this restomods-project of the legendary SEC and it is an excellent way of reviving the classic cars. It is very popular in the market for restomods-projects, some where executed right, others has gone horribly wrong.
RENNTech emphasized that the sacco bodypanels is removed and make it a complete body to make it modern. There is simply no Chrome parts whatsoever. While I kept the bodypanels but removed chrome lines, and lowered it down to keep that classy DNA look with modern twist.

1.The front bumper is not entirely the same .
2.AMG inspired wide fender with additional gap for vents on the front turn signal with the air vents behind, same to the taillight.

3.Trunk Spoiler is not same.

4.Exhaust pipes placing with the diffuser is same as mine.

5. Sideskirt is not entirely the same, but same idea lines.
The original taillight is kept. While mine is completely new that goes along like Porsche LED bar. I forgot to share it here. MercedesBenzSec004.png

I wouldn't say no if they wanted my design to implement. Doesn't really hurt to ask as long as the agreement is kept and honored the royalties perhaps. Afterall the SEC project is with a client that is still ongoing and upgrading until I find the right shop to deliver and execute the restomods-project for the SEC enthusiast over the world.

You may find the rest of the SEC photos here.

EDIT: RENNtech is using the V12 M120 for their SEC project which is very cool and I do admire that.

@Draginev,
It would be nice for you to receive some royalties or recognition for your excellent designs.
Thank you Terry, I already had recognition during these last 2-3 years.
Brabus reported my Instagram page when I almost hitted 87k followers because I used their logos for selling the W124 V1 bodykit since it is Brabus inspired but couldn't do much about copyright infringement so I think it was misunderstanding? :) now I'm on my 2nd Instagram backup page.
Got offered intership by RENNtech based in Florida, spoken to a guy named Lars in RENNtech classic department, but couldn't travel there due to other circumstances.

The retired Mercedes-Benz Head designer Gorden Wagener liked my W126 SEC design only. Also the Mercedes-Benz themselves did notice me, both from US and Germany headquarters. I also got the opportunity to work with a tuning company manufaktur called VUK based in Austria, they specialize in G-wagons V12 conversion and their new project of W206 E63 (Actual V8 engine swap conversion) since Mercedes decided to put hybrid with 4 cylinder and claimed there was no space in the engine bay while VUK proved them wrong. I had the honor to be part of the designing the car to resemble EVO 190E.

And got to make 3D-model of their G-wagon with their own bodykit:

I'm humbly blessed for this journey and the opportunities. Never did I expected to go from W124 500E 3D-model to something big. For that, I'm very thankful and learned new experiences and knowledges.
