Hello @gsxr @gerryvz or others handy with EPC,

Kindly ask your help.

I want to verify that ECU Bosch 016 545 5332 has ASR?
The year 1995 C280 vin numbrer is: WDBHA28E7SF255142

Can someone help me verify this is the correct ECU part for this C280 with ASR?

thank you so much in advance!

That module requires coding with HHT-Win to program it as either a car with, or without, ASR. New modules come from the dealer uncoded / unprogrammed. I do not know if the coding can be changed once it's initially set. Typically they cannot be changed, but I've never tried.

To find out how a used module was coded, you'd need to plug it into a car and view data in HHT-Win. Or, get the VIN of the donor car and check if it has option 471 (ASR).

VIN # WDBHA28E7SF255142 does have ASR so if the module came from that VIN, it should be coded with ASR.

Thank you @gsxr
Can you tell from EPC:

1) this C280 Vin F07783 onwards,
2) engine ID 073644 which has ASR
3) and should match up with ECU part No. 016 545 5332 ?

I hope! :)

F255142 is sequentially after F077828 (the VIN break in EPC)

VIN WDBHA28E7SF255142 has engine #055550 (link). I don't have the ability to look up VIN by engine number so I can't tell what VIN had engine #073644.

016-545-53-32 supercedes to two other part numbers, all 3 are interchangeable. The same ECU is used on the C280 both with and without ASR. Again, as I explained above, the ECU must be programmed either with or without ASR... no way to tell from the part number.
