A general question (esp. for W126, 107 and 140 owners)

I have owned a... too many... cars. I have found I love simplicity. I loved my '65 Corvette and '55 Bel Air. They were simple. I equally fell in love with my '80 C107. The car was great- until I left it in Las Vegas for a year and had to rebuild the fuel distributor. I owned several cars there. One was a '92 C140 500. It was problematic. Much like my V140 is now. But my 107's and 126 cars just seem to want to go on and on. Recently it was expressed to me that the W124 chassis is similar in dependability. My question to you who own a W124 500E is simple: do you find them to be dependable or to need a great deal of up keep like the latter cars I've mentioned- the W140's.

Complexity meaning constant maintenance! Thank you! I like the anology. Having 3 107's, 4 126's, 1 140 and 1 129 I find a lot of time goes toward the 140. But in it's defense, it was not... well it is not the best taken care of example.
