Dear w124 e500 expert group members and entushiasts,

Could someone please listen to this m119.985 and tell me how does it sound to you?

The car is e420 s210 with 224000 miles, no info if the chain/tensioners have been changed.

Does it sound anything like normal?
Maybe a little knock or belt pulley whine?

I have to make a purchase descision remotely and this is what the seller provided.

Many thanks in advance!

+1, I agree with Dave. It sounds pretty normal to me. I hear nothing that stands out. If you search, I think there are other videos of running M119 engines that you might compare to it.

Edit: You can find some videos on U-Tube just Google Mercedes M119 motor running.

1. Please make longer Video, cold start too.
2. Before doing so get some wind protection for your mic, it´s easy, put some cloth on, old sock or so. Those cheap micsin our smartphones do not work properly, they need help :hehehe:
