I'm sure it's been up here before but currently the seach function dossent seams to work on my phone. It won't let me push "go/seach" after I put in the seach words I want to seach for. So here it goes.
I know there's 3 difrent number witch all has been long gone from production lines.
2 old numbers left and right with foam that goes around the angle.
The there's a single number that replaces those old numbers so the same hose for each side with foam/insulation that are shorter not following around the angle of the pipe/hose. All numbers long been NLA
So I've seen others use the pipes from the R129 and these has left and right hoses were the left hose is a bit longer than the right one.
I've ordered these for less than 6 mounths ago both sides. And I'm having an E500 that needs not just new pipes it dossent even have the old once there.
And now mercedes are no longer making that left side also NLA. So just the right side is made, but if you have ever had these hoses as I did for 6 mounths back. You know that you don't need the long left side. So I ordered 2 of the right site and you can use these but it will sit very bendy/right so you still have to modify them in length a bit.
But before I do. I just wanted to hear what the solutions is here. Alot of 500 owners must have this insulation coming apart problem and we all lobe to keep them original nd having the R129 looks great OE but are just the original look we need.
So any solutions to repair/restore the old once or what are the solutions?
