Hello.

On the Norwegian Mercedes-Benz Entusiast klubb forum we have an option for listing all posts in a thread. Please view my thread with general info and pics of 500E cars:
http://www.mbentusiastklubb.no/smf/index.php?topic=53712.0
Above the first post at left you find: Sider: 1 2 3 ... 6 Alle Til bunnen by pressing Alle all posts appears in sequential order. I find this practical and much faster to work with compared to switch between pages or switch between several tabs. Is this something we could implement here?

---------------
Btw. - the thread name is written in my dialect and means; "500E is simply awesome..."
Several members here will find pics of their cars in there picked from the internet and 500Eboard. I hope you don't mind, but if you do - please tell and I'll take them off.
Just FYI, I don't publish any essential info about the car owner, unless they have their own public homepage or reference.

Arnt, FYI... the pics of my car on page 2 (post 26?) are with 18" iForged 3-piece wheels, not 17" HRE's. It's szvook who has the black 92 500E with custom 17" HRE staggered wheels (which look very similar).

Nice collection of .036 photos there, btw! I see you posted many of them!

This mod that Jelmer posted is for vBulletin 3.X only. I'll need to research as to whether there's a version for vBulletin 4.X.

Due to significant architectural differences, you can't use 3.X code in 4.X installations, and vice versa.

Cheers,
Gerry

Ahaa - it's the iForged Flux you have! Great shoes and light weight of course...:-)
Sorry for the incorrect info, corrected now.
(thought I've read some place that you had HRE...hmm...silicon brain attack :D)

Cheers

Karl - you're welcome. :-)

I guess I'll post some pics of your new ride too, but for the moment I don't have access to Photobucket you are hosting, so I don't have any pics of it. I guess it'll show up sometime though.

Cheers

Arnt,

Great Pics!!!

Thanks for Sharing

Terry,

The 036 draw a lot of attention in Norway and on our MBE-forum, but not many 036-owners participates there. Actually the same with me since 95% of my forum time goes here. But I thought why not make a show thread there with a mix of pics and general information about the 036, and keep it more or less free from discussions. The thread will not be deep going - that belongs to this forum. I randomly update the thread, especially when I've collected some high res pics etc.. I will at some point post a thread called "Did you know that...." followed by informative key words about the 036. Just nice to know for the public.

Enjoy :-)

By default this is not possible on vBulletin, but I have found a third-party add-on that does exactly this, perhaps Gerry can install it.

Thanks guys,

I hope you manage to investigate this a bit closer, it is a very nice option to have available.

For what I know it may be a max number of posts allowed listed, but that specific thread I referred to, has 6 pages with totally 81 posts now, and can still use the "All" listing.

I have upped the "default" number of posts to 60 per displayed page, and all users can select to display up to 100 posts per page. Most threads are not this long, so if you choose to select this option (in your user settings control panel, in the drop-down menu) then this should provide enough overhead for you. I can up it to whatever number I want to, if a higher number is needed.

There does not appear to be a mod, for vBulletin 4.X, that allows one to specify "all" messages in a thread be displayed. I think the reason for this is because of the increased ability to specify the number that can displayed (both admin default, and user option if a change is desired) over vBulletin 3.X.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you are unsatisfied.

Cheers,
Gerry

Thanks for checking and the alternatives, Gerry. It was smart to increase to 60 posts listing as default IMO. I haven't noticed that this could be set in my user account either. I am happy with this, and just as you say - most threads are not that long.

Many thanks.:-)

Just go to the "Settings" link at the upper right of the screen, near the "Log Out" link.

Then on your setting screen, go to "General Settings" on the lower left of the screen. You'll see a screen with a drop-down menu of display 10, 20, 40, 60 or 100 (or forum default of 60) posts displayed per screenful. Some browsers have this screen jumbled up -- it's a bug in the vBulletin software. You can see the drop down menu though -- select what you want, and then click "Save" at the bottom to make it happen.

I think vBulletin has fixed the Settings screen display problem in the latest version of the software (which is Patch Level 2; I'm running Patch Level 1). I won't upgrade the software again until version 4.2.1 or 4.3 comes out.

Cheers,
Gerry
