AMG 2 Piece

Hello brothers. Here's to another year of superior motoring :cheers2:

I'm being offered some 2 piece AMG wheels. Same ones as our resident 2phast has on his Signal Red.

The seller wants $2900, fully refurbished and delivered from the continent.

Is this the correct price to pay? Does anyone know of another set for sale?

Thanks,

Price seems high to me. For that kind of money, I'd prefer lightweight wheels like RENNtech Monolites. I think those AMG 2-pc units are relatively heavy. Maybe Rik can chime in.

Hey Chaps! Happy New Year!

I think around $2K would be more in order as a starting point, perhaps negotiating up a bit from there. I certainly wouldn't pay more than $2,500 for an absolutely perfect set of these wheels.

Look forward to hooking up again with you later this year.

Cheers,
Gerry

Thanks for the advice guys.

Gerry: Looking forward to it.

Dave, You got a linky to those monolites? Also have you any plans to come to London. I'd be keen to meet up.

:grouphug:

Here's a link to the Monolites on Glen's ride - I think they're somewhere around 20 lbs each, which is really light for the size... most similar wheels are 24-26 lbs, and some can be 28-30 lbs each! Anyway:

Unfortunately, I don't have any plans to travel outside the USA at the moment, unless my employer decides to ship me off somewhere - but I doubt it would be anywhere as interesting as London! If I'm ever out that way, I'll definitely drop you a line...

If you want Really light the BBS RSGT's are 18.5 lbs for an 18 X 8 inch wheel!

Not really my cup of tea looks wise but they sure did work Well!
