AMG Multi-piece wheels $500 in Dublin VA

I would love a set of these for my 500E but it looks to me (if you look at the single wheel close up) that they would require refurbishing.

Also, I’m to cheap to spend $4K on wheels. :jono:

The logo looks like a later version... I always assume (rightly or wrongly?) that the multi-piece wheels were "pre-merger"-ish and that the logo should then not have the slashes ////... but I'm no expert in when the logo changed. I'm sure the real experts on here will have the answer!

These look like S class AMG wheels, so wrong offset for a W124, unless you use spacers.
Still almost looks like buy em, refurb them and figure it out later. I've got my hands full at the moment though. There's a CL600 AMG on the MB Market right now that looks like it's wearing the same wheels.

Before anyone gets too excited, we need sizes... diameter, width, and offset. There were a few variations of this wheel, IIRC...

are all the faces the same spec? i want to add a lip as much as possible, a little more than what ive seen in the past

Fastenal shut down their location in Dublin. That woulda be a viable low cost/low effort option for shipping.

Wasn't it just E and S? That seems a fairly narrow set of offsets. I'm sure they don't fit .036 but people here like a LOT of MB cars of this vintage.

This car at Canepa had them and to my mind they look stunning on the 036:

This one in Germany also has them:

I believe there was just one version of this 18" AMG Aero II wheel as it was intended for the W140 and C140 only. 8,5 x 18 ET 44.

The 17" version is a 7.5" width.

Don't take my word for it though. The only way to find out what size these wheels in Dublin VA are is talk to the dude who is selling them and that sure ain't me :)

Tim, that aligns with what I've seen, but there was also reference to a 10" wide version, and a low-offset (ET25) 18" version? Not sure if this is accurate. The 7.5" version would NOT be suitable for E500E applications unless you go all duuder and fatten up those lips with custom/wider barrels.

Exactly! And I'm in the same boat as you are, I will not have time to get to such project anytime soon. If this was local, or within an hour - no brainer, but let's hope someone can actually buy these and use them at a reasonable final costs.

CL600 - certainly a good look for the, except to my eye, rears - need at least a quality 20-25mm spacers...

Regards,
D
