E60/E500 AMG Aero 3 original code in Vin

Hi,
Here is the information I found while checking a chassis number of an original E60 AMG with code 957.
This is what LastVIN shows; I haven’t had the chance to check it in the EPC yet.

The car is equipped with option code:
786 – AMG sports suspension with four AMG light-alloy wheels and wide tires:
8.5 x 17 ET30, 245/45, 3-piece.

This means that this E60 was factory-equipped with all four wheels in the same 8.5 x 17 ET30 specification. These rims size are also common on 3.4 AMG models.
This also provides insight into the tire dimensions that were factory-delivered; 245/45.

I hope this help!

Hello I think you'll find that those sizes you are quoting are for the front only on the E60 the fronts were 8.55 X 17" Et 18
and on the rear 10 X 17" ET 17 Tyres being 245 X 45 ZR -17 front 255 X 45 ZR -!7 on the rear these were the three piece
Aero 3's made by Ozadero & Zen of Turin specially for AMG
Hope this helps

Hi Goran,
in the VIN Database (google sheet / button up-left on this board) you may find more E60/500E 6.0 cars where their datacards included code 786, besides 957.
I was adding some comments yesterday, which Gerry after retained on the 'observations' field, together with his update on the 'LINK' which redirects/shows you then the PDF file with the corresponding datacards.
** huge ThankS !! to @gerryvz for this work **
Here I am attaching some pics from the option-lists and assignation of the different SA-codes, as to the various wheel/tyre size components, but I am quite sure you know these documents already.
Alberto

Hello Alberto
Thanks for the charts via gerryvz as I have just realised that my set of rims were originally for SL Class code 795/787
that's why the rears are 10in not 9.5 as pointed out by Goran

Dik Best

Hello Dik,
my absolute pleasure!
Glad to read you've sorted out that doubt about the option codes suiting SL Class or W124, as measurements may indeed be different on each model.
Regards
Alberto
