An interesting video on preparing and using a car in extremely low temperatures-70°C / -95°F

1. Imagine when these tires are getting pumped in -70 and suddenly u you getting in a hot weather maybe +30?, you will definitely hear 4 pops!
2. Mercedes W140 already solved this issue with double glass laminated, where in between is air circulated so it is a benefit, but not on front/rear windshield.

This cold weather operation has impressed me since I became a driver in Michigan. It's really amazing we can produce materials that can handle these temperature extremes. Back in the 60s the temps in Michigan often reached below -10 or -20. I drove a Volkswagen a bit back then that lived outside. The heater was just a lever that made one think things were going to get warm.

When workers were working in Alaska building the pipeline they also left equipment running always. I've heard it's possible to strike metal with a hammer and crack it at these temps. Timely article. It was 23 degrees here in Atlanta yesterday.
