Anyone have a spare rear 18x10 AMG BBS two piece wheel(or just barrel)

Where are you located?

I have 2 near perfect 10" rears as spares that I can let go of....but only as a set.

Bah, 3000 miles away in Manchester, CT....wishing you were closer for a possible pick up as I do not ship rims. :)

Do you have complete rims or just barrels??

Ill pay for shipping man dw. Ill make it worth your effort

Please let me know. I had these shipped to me as well. Its not that bad.

I have completed my set long ago and had some extra stuff that Is sold. Currently only have a front barrel that was repaired and still has a crack. Could probably be fixed.

I am looking for one spoke plate, not a barrel.
Wish we can work something out. I have one bent rear spoke.

I have spoke plates to sell, but can only sell if Jimbo sells me his two complete rear wheels.
Only because I can't spare the spoke plates, as I am trying to put together a set of these wheels
I'm cool with that. Shipping spokes all the way here is easier than complete wheels.

In fact, I have a Florida address so it's all good

Are all 4 spoke plates the same? I just realized the bent spoke is a front one which my AWRS shop sent me.
Oh boy!

The center section is different between front & rear, with different part numbers / offsets stamped on the back side,

:tumble:

Yes I know that the wheel spec is stamped at the rear of the spoke plates. I was just wondering if the spoke plates for front and back are different in specs. I am wondering if there is a light deviation in size. I am sure previous owner put the front spoke plate on rear barrel and hence why it got bent.

I'm not positive but I believe the difference will be the location of the hub mounting face, vs the face where the barrels attach. Probably only a few mm. Structurally there's no difference, using a front plate with rear barrels won't cause anything to bend.

:mushroom1:

Yes you are right, it makes total sense. The distance and angle between where the hub attaches and where the barrel bolts on must be different front and back. Damn!

if anyone has an 18x8.5 single wheel available I am looking for a 5th to have as a spare in the trunk. Factory 16” won’t fit over the BBK upgrade I installed.

Front and rear faces are identical in dimensions. The shop that refinished my wheels put the front faces on the rear barrels by accident. They have bene like that ever since, no issues.

Theres no way to measure that without separating the face from the barrell. I have a spare set of these, ill see if I can figure this out but like I said, my front faces have been onthe rear 10 inch barrels for a while and the front 8.5 inch barrels have the rear faces....no issue.

If I recall, I had this checked already since I had the wheels that are on my car completely dissasembled for refinishing.

We talked about this in an older thread named "Powdercoating gone wrong" starting at post #15. I show pictures of mesurements there.

Basically when all faces are layed down on the ground, the measurement from the ground to the top of the hub hole is the same. Same goes for the measurements from the mounting surface(back side of wheel) to the top of the hub hole. Hope that makes sense.

So the deal won't happen as shipping is too much for me. Thanks @Jimbo for your attention.
I hope you can work something out with @Stevester 500E so he sell me his spokes.

I seriously need my issue resolved.

Thanks Guys

Thank you for the useful info, really appreciate it.

Oh well, I was convinced my front spoke plate wasn't gonna hold up. I don't think it's possible to repair a bent spoke.
2 bolts popped out which can only mean stress on the spoke plate.

Thats by far the best deal ive seen.

I paid $1100 for one set, $1500 for the other that I sold for $2500, and dont ask how much the first set ended up costing between, dechroming...twice, fixing, finding a rear wheel, and powdercoating twice.

I contacted a source in Canada to enquire about one wheel, and was quoted 1800 US$. And that wasn't even including shipping to my country which would have probably cost me the same amount. Holy Moly.

I am looking for one rear wheel now. Mine is cracked beyond repair according to the workshop.
I have front wheels I no longer need, I am willing to trade if anyone is interested and can afford the shipping costs?

Would you be interested in my 2 rear 10" rims? I cringe tho at what shipping might be....

I could take your 2 fronts...are they in good shape?

I would definitely consider it.
I will PM you to avoid bothering everyone else here.

15 years ago, an acquaintance of mine bought 2 used 10x18 for like 100USD per my recommendation. A few years later he Literally threw them away as they were "taking too much space in one of their house(s)... He was very upset about the lose of $100 and the space the wheels occupied all these years. He never called since!🤣:D

speaking of wheels, anyone know of wheel specialty shop in the east coast to build these out?

edit: idk what it is but everyone i've ask seems to gatekeep their guy in the east coast...
