Monoblock anti-theft wheel bolts

Hello,

Does anybody have a recommendation for a good set of anti-theft wheel bolts for Monoblock wheels used on a 500E?
I just refinished my wheels and installed new tires. Would hate for the wheels to get stolen.
Also, I'm looking for a shop to refinish my worn steering wheel to factory look.

Thank you for your help.

Michael

I have a set of origanal Mercedes lug bolts new in the origanal packing but I think
they may be for the wheels on limiteds
Let me find them later and get the part number some specs and pictures posted

The Monoblocks normally use extended-head lug bolts as seen here, to have the bolt head flush with the wheel face. If you are using these, a lock will look kinda weird as you'll have 4 flush and 1 black hole. If you are using short-head bolts, the lock would also be short so you'd have 5 matching black holes.

Is your car parked outside at night where the wheels might get stolen? :run:

Check with any local leather / upholstery shop, they can usually restore (re-dye) the wheel to look like new again.

I went with the short Mercedes wheel screws and then two different wheel locks from two different reputable brands. I also never leave the socket keys in the car.

The benefit of the screws being so far in is that they’re considerably more difficult to remove without the correct key, violence will only damage the rims. And two different brands and types of lock makes it more time consuming. The con is of course the look, it’s not as good looking.

If the thief really wants the wheels they’ll get them, but hopefully my setup is deterrent enough to make a potential thief move on.

Lock screws are not hard to remove, there are key kits readily available at Amazon, that’s why I want two different lock types making it twice as much work.

I bought my wheel locks from Otis LA.

I couldn't stand the look of the dark hole, so I cut off the head of some spare lugs, glued a magnet to the end, and to the head of the lock. Works great. I'll deny this, but they've been tested to 140 mph.

I got something like this: RAD 2pc Lock Bolt 14mmx1.5, 32mm Shank R12 Ball Seat – Otis Inc LA

Great, thank you for your help. No car is parked in the garage. Here in the bay area California, you never know.... you drive the car to work, or the store and you could find the car on blocks when you return. 😒

Not monoblocks, but nevertheless...these are the ones i have on my car, genuine Mercedes ones. Pretty useless, but they are allowed to stay where they are ,just because they have most likely been on there for ages, probably since the car was relatively new20250616_183118.jpg20250616_183146.jpg
