Anything worth picking up in Harbour Freight?

Hi all,

I am in USA at the moment on vacation doing a road trip. In Tulsa at the moment and there is a HF store beside my hotel.

I seen this and am going to get it in the morning: https://www.harborfreight.com/compact-air-needle-scaler-58646.html

I have limited checked luggage space due to buying too much Bourbon in Bardstown :star:

Are there any smallish tools then that members may suggest I pick up when I am in the states please? Will be going there tomorrow morning first thing.

This has become one of my most-used (first-grabbed) ratchets. It has a narrow head for tight spots and plenty of leverage. I use it with a female Torx to relieve tension on the poly v-belt. I usually just crank it all the way clockwise and wedge the 1/4” swivel-head side under the upper radiator hose where it goes into the radiator. The belt is so much easier to slip back on with this technique and tool.

Thanks Terry, not near LA this time but intend to come back in 2025 so you never know!

I got these items this morning inc 10% off the air hammer (thanks Dave for coupon)

I will try to stop back in before we go for the other items mentioned above :oldman:

The needle descaler is smaller than the one I have so should work better in confined spaces like inner cills etc. The air hammer is a powerful one and about 80% cheaper to buy when I am here than the equivalent Mac Tools offering within Ireland!! I also got a 4.5 kg spool of Lincoln Flux Core welding wire which was much cheaper here than within Ireland. (The lincoln is a specific type that no one else makes in Ireland)

I am back in America just now for a short holiday. In Boston at the moment, scenery is amazing!

Of course I'll need to stop by a Harbour freight in the next day or two. Interested in any current recommendations from members and a discount coupon would be great if anyone is getting them :)

The air tools like the long barrell air hammer I got above are very good for the $ IMO. I already have a drawer full of good air tools but will see if a local store to me will have these:

I got all items I was looking for today :)

The tumbler media for rust removal is very expensive at home. About £40 per KG. This was a 2.3kg tub for $25, looking forward to trying it out in my tumbler.

I decided against the long reach angle grinder as there are similar offerings at home for about half the price and even anyway I don't think if have much need for it. Between my m18 angle grinder, mini air saw, plasma cutter and air cut off wheel I can reach anything I need to cut.

Had to go to 2x stores to get the Icon rechargeable work light. It was also not on the shelf but the staff got me one out back and said it had only just came in so I was lucky to get it
